The chicken and dumplings looked more like mashed potatoes an chicken with grease. I had to send it back,I didn't care for there country biscuits neither they were out of cornbread ?. So much for a country meal for my birthday. DO NOT ASK FOR A TABLE FOR ONE!!My wife went to this restaurant and was passed over at the front podium three times for a seat. She was asked for her name and phone number and told the wait was 10-15 minutes and then while she stood there, the hostess took a couple who walked in and a single man who entered directly to tables.My wife was very confused as to what was going on. She has a slight non-southern accent and can only believe it was that she was dressed in a business outfit and not shorts or t-shirt. She could not imagine that in this day and age she would have been passed over because of her non-southern accent. This was the first time in the 12 years she has been in the USA and a citizen that she felt slighted by any restaurant or business establishment.Maybe it should be called A Barrel of Crackers?

Had the roast beef and it was hard as leather. Had it taken back and got the fried catfish which was fried too hard on the outside and mushy on the inside. It must have been the cook that night because I eat at Cracker Barrel regularly and the food is usually enjoyable. Very disappointed with this current experience.

I wanted to buy a book that was on sale for 25% off while waiting to be seated. It rang up at the original price. I asked for the discount and the cashier said it must not be a part of the sale. When we walked to the sale location it was clearly in the 25% off area. She tried to ring it up another way but the regular price still came up. She also stated that she couldn't change the price. She didn't offer to get the manager, there were other people behind me so I didn't ask for the manager either. Then I wanted to order the fish for lunch. Oh, said the waitress, "we don't have that anymore". If you DONT sell it any more mark the order menu! It was not a good time at this store . I was very disappointed.
The food was good and the server was nice.
