El Charolais De Elizabethton

I have eaten at the El Charolais in Johnson City a few times and I always found the food and service very good, but this was my first time eating at their Elizabethton location. My husband and I shared the Pina Loca - a pineapple filed with chunks of the pineapple, chicken, steak, shrimp, chorizo, peppers, and onions. It was delicious! I will rate this as one of the best dishes I have ever had at any Mexican restaurant. Service was good, the restaurant was very clean and colorful. My only complaint is that it is a small restaurant and it felt very crowded. Would I return? Heck yes!!! And next time, I will order my own Pina Loca; it is too good to share!

The service and atmosphere were superb. The chicken in my polo loco was processed, not cut from a whole chicken. Mushrooms were most likely from a can. The chips were hot and the salsa was perfect.

This is a seriously good place to eat. The food is always top notch, the prices may even be better.

Stopped here for lunch before heading out on a hike. The food was delicious and came out pretty quick. Friendly service. Their bathrooms were quite clean as well. Definitely a place I would stop for a meal if I pass back through Elizabethton!

I give this restaurant 7.9 out of 10. Food was great, service was great. Would have been an 8.2 if my beer was cold. Would definitely recommend.

Always a great experience and excellent food. I've eaten in the restaurant and also had takeout more times than I can count. My current favorite dish is fajitas for two, which my husband and I share. But honestly, all of the food I've ordered there has been delicious.

Really good service but the food was very plain. I would say everything needed more seasoning. I got a combination with a little bit of everything and was not very impressed. I'd recommend other restaurants in Elizabethton over this one. The desert was very good though.

Fajitas for 2 was the bomb! Lots of meat and sides. Salsa was 10/10. Good cheese dip and margaritas! Will definitely be back!
