Fantastic food, horrible service. We entered the restaurant roughly one hour before close. The owner (who appeared to be the only one working in the entire restaurant) asked us why we came so late but agreed to serve us anyway. A man came in shortly after us and the owner was so rude to him that he left. She loudly called him a r*tard in front of the other customers. When taking our order she insisted that she couldn’t make one of the dishes that we wanted, however, she served it to another customer beside of us. There was a long wait but the food was absolutely delicious. Throughout our meal, the owner made several snarky comments about how slow we were eating and who paid for the meal. When and IF we ever return to Red Chili, it will be through a to-go order. I will never dine in that restaurant again. The atmosphere was horrible and unprofessional.

While visiting Detroit for a wedding, family members recommended this restaurant. Service was excellent, portions were huge, and we all agreed that our meals were delicious. I had the chicken noodle soup as an appetizer and it was hands-down the best soup I have ever had.

The food is delicious. Don’t go if you’re in a rush. The wait is absolutely worth it though.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! I have been going to this establishment since 2013 and have never once been disappointed with a single order. The owner cooks, serves, and does it all, for the most authentic Korean dishes and experience. She has passion for what she does and it shows through her food. Well worth the wait if it's full when you visit.

This place is amazing. If you're interested in atmosphere, gimmicks, or a cookie cutter restaurant this is not your place, but if you're looking for amazing food, quality ingredients, and fresh preparation, you can't do better.

Very good for where it is, it's authentic Korean food. The lady who owns it is from south Korea. It's kinda expensive but still good. The potstickers are good for an appetizer, comes with a mango type dipping sauce it's really good.

Been coming here for at least 15 years, food is always amazing, my kids love it too. Some say the sauces are too sweet for them, but I like sweet. I have gotten to know the owner and though some people find her abrasive, I’ve always found her genuine and funny. Since COVID she has had a staffing issue and mainly prefers to just do it all herself so you may have to wait. She also mostly serves out of styrofoam these days to keep the dishes down. We live in Bristol and I sometimes call and make sure she isn’t closing early, if it gets slow she sometimes will close ahead of time.I love the Red Chicken above all things, it is a mild spice but a sweet sauce. We always get cheesy ramen for our appetizer, its phenomenal. The pot stickers are an amazing appetizer also, most of my friends get the Kicken’ Chicken if its their first time, my curry loving friends love the Curry Chicken. Be Bim Bop is one of her top most requested, and the blue chicken is really good also. Enjoy!

We had a good lunch at the Red Chili. This is very much a one-woman show. I'm guessing that's why not all the menu items were available. We ended up ordering kimchi, chicken bibimbap, crispy rice, and hot ginseng tea. As another reviewer pointed out, there are no vegetables on the bibimbap. We did get a fried egg, though, as a paid option. The flavor was good - slightly spicy and slightly sweet (my husband thought it was too sweet). The crispy rice was good but too sweet for both of us. The Kimchi was delicious but not spicy at all. (We would have liked it even more if it were at least a little bit spicy.) It seemed like the dishes here have been tailored to accommodate American tastes. Bottom line: the food is good, but not quite what we expected from a restaurant known for authentic Korean cuisine.

Tasty Korean food w a local twist. Got the Bibimbap--larger beef portion as I shared some. Had an egg on it as it was served in a Dolsot stoneware--very tasty, just wished it had some veggies like the traditional one(spinach and carrots). They were out of pork so got the spicy chicken version and was good. Service was surprisingly good considering the owner was working all of it w ease on a late Sat afternoon. And lastly the kimchi was good as she makes it there and was fresh, which is my preference. Great lunch on the way to the lake.
