Steel rails is amazing and fast and the best coffee in town they are priced very good and I recommend everyone go atleast once!! Fast and kind service and just all together great place!!
Amazing breakfast and coffee! Every thru hiker on the Appalachian Trail needs to stop here. Excellent, friendly service, great music/ atmosphere, and a nice lounge area with books and outlets to charge.
Nice employees. Great coffee and quiet atmosphere. You could sit and get some work done while having your drink.
I love everything about Steel Rails! Good coffee, good food, and good people!
Southbounder sandwich is the bomb. House blend hits the spot. Just a good place
I heard good things about this place from my family, so my friend and I tried it out. The service was very friendly, and the food and drinks were quite nice (:
Wonderful local coffee shop. Had a delicious bagel breakfast sandwich - tasty Asiago bagel with a special mustard sauce (just enough to give it a unique flavor). The deal roast coffee was stellar.
It is nice to see that local businesses in Erwin are gearing back up to speed after Hellene.
Best chicken salad ever!
I loveee their coffee, tea, and food options! Bakery items are also available if you’re feeling something sweet or are in a rush. Lots of seating is available and it is so cozy inside. I can’t wait to go back and try it.

Best coffee shop experience we’ve had since moving to TN. We travel a fair bit and always make coffee stops a priority. Portland and Seattle have amazing coffee and I would say that Steel Rails ranks right up there with them.
Always a smiling face when I come in there for a coffee in the afternoon. Never stayed, always to go. If the wife and I go to erwin ...we will stop and sit down.
We stopped by this charming coffee shop while leaving Tennessee on our way to Miami, wanting to support a local business instead of going to Starbucks—and it was the best decision we made! My sons enjoyed delicious hot cocoa, my husband loved his spiced latte, and I treated myself to a dirty chai paired with a heavenly cinnamon bun. Everything was absolutely amazing!
The cozy atmosphere and the heartwarming, friendly staff made the experience even more special. It’s a shame we don’t have a spot like this in Miami 🥲. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by—you won’t regret it!
Great place for a coffee and a bite to eat. My only complaint is i wish they opened a little earlier so I could stop on my way to work in the mornings lol.
Good people, good food and coffee, good place/ location.
