Very nice place to stop and grab a few pictures of fall colors. Ran into a few very nice people with the same mission.

The Overlook is amazing. Lots of parking, however, no bathrooms and very isolated. Stairs to get to the top and a ramp on one side to accommodate wheel chair and/or a disabled scooter/motorized chair. The Tennessee Welcome Center (WC) which is located as you come back down the mountain (go up next exit from the Scenic Overlook and do a "under the overpass u-turn") has a very nice place to stop ? ? . Indoor clean and a/c bathrooms, hundreds of brochures and booklets about the areas in Tennessee, covered picnic tables, an indoor vending building which had snacks, drinks, coffee machine, etc., just overall outstanding. As you pull into the WC there is a split parking area, one for buses and trucks and one for cars. Also, there was an employee on site that has an office inside and the WC is also equipped with one of those defibrillators right inside the WC doors. There are 2 miniature gnome rock gardens and I think I saw 1 of the gnomes move! Nah, just joking. ?Very nice to visit both places, Scenic Overlook & TN Welcome Center.

It's a fun spot to stop and stretch the legs whilst capturing some good views!

It was a lovely little surprise! Maybe a little bathroom would be helpful there as well. We walked around a little and behind the one wall there was so much tissue paper and smell of urine. ? so just don't walk that way. Go up the steps and look out. That was worth it. I'd even say you could have a little wedding there if it was allowed. Beautiful background.

Nice and peaceful but I’m not sure it’s much of an overlook or review. A few parking spots and a little bit of a view of the valley, but not much in some green mountain.

Beautiful Scenic Overlook for a pitstop on your way to Asheville and beyond. Located right before the North Carolina/Tennessee State line on I-26 East, it's a great spot to stop and stretch your legs. Get your two legged and four legged passengers out for a quick walk up to the overlook point. I will warn you that there are no restrooms or covered facilities here, just a scenic overlook to enjoy the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee.

Wonderful lookout. So many memories of this place make it even more special.
