We stopped by for an afternoon drink after a day of visiting all the local shops in Franklin on a Saturday afternoon. The bartender was very welcoming and suggested several different bourbons for my old-fashioned. The drink was just okay... It was missing the luxardo cherry (or any brand of cherry for that matter) and had an upcharge of 3.00 just for being "old fashioned," which was on top of the 15.00 price tag. My choice of bourbon on this day was Woodford Reserve. We sat at a table next to the bar, but after our drinks were delivered, the bartending staff (no other wait staff around) never checked back with us. We didn't order any food items this the no star rating.

The menu selections at 1799 were varied enough to satisfy many palates and sophistication levels. We started with the pork belly and spinach salad as a starter both of which were delicious and beautifully plated. My husband had the seared Halibut and I chose the Scallops as our entrees and both were exceptional in taste, temperature and presentation. Oh, don't let me forget to mention the exquisite, freshly baked popovers which were served with the first course and available throughout the meal. Nicole was our Server and enhanced our evening with not only her charming presence but her knowledge of the menu and wine offerings and exquisite table side manner. The new menu items included a lamb shank that was fantastic! Our group also thought the carrot cake was outstanding. Jimmy, our waiter, provided top-shelf service and was very attentive!! Great service, great food and great atmosphere!

1799 meets all the expectations you see online. Fortunately an added bonus was having Heather as a bartender(because we were early for our reservation). The hostess Amina took pictures in a dozen places, since it was Valentine’s Day. Also Britten was an exceptional server with a great heart and very knowledgeable of the menu. She helped an old man make the night exceptional for our FIRST Valentines. Thanks BrittanThanks 1799

Brettan was an exceptional server and the bartender Heather took great care of us as we were early and wanted to hangout prior to our reservation. The hostess Amina was very kind and even took several pictures for me and my date, since it was Valentines Day and we were all dressed up. Highly recommend this place.

Me and my boyfriend dined for valentines/anniversary and were a little apprehensive due to some reviews we read but we were extremely pleased. The service was great and food was phenomenal!
1799 kitchen and cocktails has an absolute fabulous staff. The restaurant was spotless. It was the day before Valentines and they were gearing up for the the masses on the following day, but the food was fantastic. Not a huge menu, but good choices.

This was such a fun atmosphere and hang out space for a casual Friday night. Got drinks with some girl friends and a little bite of dessert. The carrot cake was a great recommendation from our awesome server Brettan. She was so kind and made sure we were taken care of. Will definitely be back!!

Great place- we have been there a few times. ambience and service are always top notch! Only thing that takes away slightly is just the value for the money. The meals are always excellent, but for 2 of us with salads, entree, and no alcohol was just short of $200. But still worth a visit for special occasions!

We visited for an early dinner on Super Bowl Sunday, so it was nice and quiet and the service was great. Food was fantastic, my husband and I both had the elk. We will definitely return!

We had a group of ten for a birthday brunch and everything was great! Our waiter, Scott, was very patient with the children that were at our table and even more patient with the indecisive adults that required extra time to choose between breakfast or lunch items. Also, the cinnamon rolls were enjoyed by the entire table!!
