Blue Sushi Sake Grill - McEwen Northside

Worst experience I've ever had since this was my favorite place and have probably been here a dozen times. Multiple issues..... After twice asking our waiter for a Diet Pepsi twice in 30 minutes we asked one of the servers to bring to us. Half of our party was attempted to be served 40 minutes after the rest of the table was served and had already eaten but unfortunately they were brought the wrong order. Thus in total wait time was about an hour, no sorry was issued, no complimentary appetizer for them. We accidentally spilled some soy sauce and nothing was done to help us clean it up off the table. We asked 3 different times for extra ginger. Lettuce wraps brought to our table that didn't even belong to us. We always go here for special events and just regular dining but this was so disappointing. What happened?

Service started out good but went downhill from then on. Forgot our beverages, failed to check back on us. Worse was a hair found in our rainbow roll. Blue Sushi had been a frequent stop but not anymore. We won't be back and I no longer recommend Blue Sushi.

The hostess, Kate, was very friendly and welcoming and sat us before our reservation time which was greatly appreciated! We loved our food, and really enjoyed the all day happy hour menu on Sunday.

All wa excellent except the food came out randomly with some rolls being 15-20 minutes behind the first ones. Overall a small thing.

We went there for a 35th anniversary. The sushi and the rolls were absolutely delicious. Very fresh fish! Our waitress Faith was absolutely amazing! She did an excellent job of making sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be going back! 

Loving Sushi, this is now our favorite place for all things Sushi. We live north of Nashville and pass a lot of restaurants during the 45 minute drive to experience Blue Sushi Saki Grill. Don't overlook the Tuna Tower, it makes a great appetizer for 2-3 people.

Overall, a pretty good experience. The service was better than I expected from reading prior reviews. The food is very Japanese fusion. Being someone that really likes sushi and authentic experience I can see how someone who likes sushi light would really like this place. The fish was OK, but I've definitely had better in the area. Service was good. Our server was attentive. Best thing we ordered was the ceviche and mochi dessert honestly. The sushi rolls were small and OK but not memorable.

We sat out on the patio because the inside restaurant had music playing much too loudly to enjoy conversation with your table. Our server made some great recommendations for sushi, the house salad and the taki maki (probably didn't get that name right) were our favorites. Good food. The ambience would be better if the volume of the music was lowered.

Food was fantastic and our server was friendly and knowledgeable. Sushi came out extremely slowly however and he could do nothing about it. Don't go on a Monday night.

Host forget to seat us. Server never checked on us once, just to order and to drop the check. We had to ask a random server to get a drink and those took 10mins plus to make its way back to our table. The sushi was good. We won't be back.

I really really want to like this restaurant, but the service is awful. I've gone twice now, and the servers seem confused, bring mains before the appetizers, don't refill drinks, and are generally irritated when you have a question or need something. The first time we went, the manager comped our sushi boat without us even complaining because the server forgot to put our order in, and we'd been waiting over an hour at our table. The food itself is just ok. It's creative enough but inconsistent in quality. It has potential, and I hope they are able to work out the kinks.

Food arrived at different times , no one was eating together. Overpriced and after food was served, the serve was MIA for a long time. Had to ask for the bill.

This was our first time having Blue Sushi Sake Grill. We love sushi and were both very excited to try it. The vibe was super cool and fun. The drinks were excellent and food was good too. We wish the calamari appetizer had more calamari in it but it tasted great. The prices were not bad which was definitely a plus. Service was great and overall we were very happy with our experience.

We had our first meal here on Friday and liked it so much, we came back on Saturday! The manager came to our table and greeted us, which was a nice touch. The vegan options were delicious and my husband loved his sushi. We will be sure to revisit when we are visiting the area.

A great addition to the cool springs area and I am so glad it here. I think they're figuring out their wait staff, as our sweet gal was a little over-whelmed maybe? She wasn't overly helpful with suggestions but luckily we didn't need them. The restaurant is over-all such great place to eat and I'll be visiting again.
