Our server was terrific. I wish I remembered his name, but he was a young, tall black man with an Afro. No complaints there, he was very attentive.
However our meal (fish & chips) was a disappointment; overpriced, greasy and lacking of fish (mostly crust). I’ve had better fish & chips at Capt. D’s, and the slaw was WAY over salted. How is that possible with cold slaw.
I will say that the decor was beautiful.
Sorry about this negative post which I almost never do. Finally, support staff kept checking on us which I really appreciate.

We decided to try as a family as we had been to the one in Tucson several times and loved it. This location definitely has a more formal atmosphere than the Tucson location though. Food was really good—we especially loved the chicken katsu sandwich. However, they messed up one of the orders, bringing out the wrong dish and insisted on making and bringing the correct one, which was nice, but then proceeded to charge us for the incorrect dish they originally brought out, which was more expensive, so it was rather odd…we will likely return but hope this doesn’t happen again.

We had the best time here! Our server, Victoria, was awesome!! So very personable and offered great recommendations! The food was spot on… we tried the whipped feta, Mongolian short ribs and Asian salad. All were delicious! But what impressed us most was the personal attention we received. Victoria, and honestly the entire team, was so engaging yet efficient. You can tell that they love their brand, and this is what will bring us back for more.

This placed sounded great when I looked over the menu, and the reviews. I was sat right away. Great atmosphere, indoor stage and live music. Place was busy, bar was full along with most of the seats. Service was an issue. No uniforms, wasnt sure who my server was. Was a young boy, untucked oversized button down. I wasnt sure if he was ordering drinks at the bar or was my server. I had to ask for napkins, share plates, silverware. I got the pretzels, pretty good. I tried the ribeye dish, was good but not alot of food for the price. Id come back and try some other items on the menu. Certainly a cool place to grab a drink.

Let me tell you about this place! If you want a place that has an inviting atmosphere, good food, great drinks and you and your friends can relax and enjoy a good meal....this is the place!!!
The staff is so pleasant and warm that you feel like they know you personally!
I stumbled upon this place and was immediately blown away with the food and feeling of calm that I have not felt in a long time while dining out.
I had the Chopped Chicken Salad and it was amazing along with a drink called Abandoned Cadillac. My daughter had a drink called Full Moon Party which she loved also. Let me tell you the bartender at this place knows the value of a good drink!!!! Not only was the drink as tasty as the meal the presentation was on point. I will definitely be returning very soon and will be letting everyone know what a gem this place is!!!

Richard was hands-down the highlight of our night at Culinary Dropout. From the moment he showed up, he made us feel instantly comfortable—like we were being taken care of by a hilarious friend who also happens to know the menu inside and out.

He walked us through the more unique food items with honesty (not just the “everything’s amazing!” speech) and gave spot-on recommendations based on what we actually like. You could tell he genuinely cared that we loved our food—and we absolutely did.

On top of that, his humor was perfectly timed and effortless. We laughed, we ate well, and we never once felt rushed or forgotten. If you’re lucky enough to get Richard as your server, trust him, order what he suggests, and prepare to have a great time. Culinary Dropout—please keep this man forever. 👏🍽️

This place is PHENOMENAL. It truly feels like they’ve mastered every detail to a science. The vibe, the atmosphere, the food, the staff — the moment you walk in, you’re stepping into a full-on experience.

Richard was our server and we LOVED him. He walked us through every detail: specials, drinks, a full menu tour, and his personal favorites — which we absolutely trusted. Three out of four of us ordered the Crispy Chicken Katsu Sandwich, and wow… so, so good. Crispy, flavorful, and somehow melts in your mouth. Our friend who’s very picky about fish (and where it’s sourced) ordered the fish and chips and was genuinely impressed with how fresh and delicious it was.
We ended the night with the Mississippi mud pie, and it was the perfect sweet finish to an incredible dinner.

We loved this place, but we especially loved Richard — he truly elevated the entire experience. We’ll absolutely be back, and we’ll be requesting Richard’s section every single time.

Also wanted to note it didn’t feel too loud to us at all! The live music was at a perfect level where we weren’t having to talk ridiculously loud - but was loud enough to enjoy in the background of our conversations!
