My husband and I love traveling and stopping through Franklin and decided to try here and bring home a loaf of sourdough since we had been craving it. Assumed since it was on main street that the business would be a staple in the community but we bought a loaf in the morning on a Saturday, and when we got home that evening, the bread already had mold sprouting on it. Must have been old bread sitting on their front shelves for customers ?

Ownership was better with previous owners. Felt like the employees were more attentive and customer service based. The offerings have also gone down since they’ve gotten new ownership. I hope it goes back to the way it was, used to be one of my favorite lunch spots.

I went for breakfast, had an egg and sausage english muffin and it tasted as though they had defrosted it and warmed it in the microwave. I also had the lemon blueberry scone that was dry and flavorless. For a place that's called a Bakehouse it didn't seem fresh. For sure won't be returning

I stopped by twice last week for early morning coffee - there aren't actually too many places open before 8am in Franklin, which is not super convenient for people working an 8-5 job! My lattes were good, made quickly and I didn't have to wait in line. The cinnamon roll I tried was nice too!

I love their English muffins! I can't find any where else that has better English muffins than the Bakehouse. It is a great spot for breakfast and lunch. All the bake goods are great!

Wasn't overly impressed with the food and the young folks there working there were typical young folks and not overly interested in being helpful. I fully admit that I'm past 50 and have a touch of grumpy old man'itis but they seemed to generally want to do the bare minimum and that may be because they just don't know any better. For example, we asked about cinnamon rolls and the young lady working the register said they weren't ready. She didn't bother to ask anyone WHEN they would be ready until we pushed a little. I don't feel she was being rude, she just didn't consider it might helpful to ask when they would be ready. Turns out it was 5 minutes and we were happy to wait for them but could have easily walked out the door instead. That being said, the aforementioned cinnamon rolls were middle-of-the-road and seemed to be stale which surprised me as we were there first thing in the morning. Not sure I'll be heading back.

The new owners (2023) and management here were extremely accommodating to our emergency need for a medium-sized venue for our HS class reunion we held recently. We were offered a wide variety of food options and beverages and full access to their attached Wine & Spirits shop for craft beers, wines and other liquors by the bottle. I highly recommend this place for wedding showers, private parties, or other social events! Manager Rusty was amazingly helpful in planning, setting up and executing the entire package. They even offered many of the wonderful baked goods and other treats for sale for those who asked.

I have been meaning to stop by here and finally had the chance. So glad I did! Very cute shop. Lots of options and great customer service' Had their iced coffee which was great and my S.O. had a cortado and was a fan. Also got a peach scone, however didn't realize till I left that it was blueberry. But didn't really matter because it was delicious and one of the best scones I've had in awhile. Definitely have to stop in for lunch.
