Stopped into this sleek and sophisticated eatery right on the main street and was immediately greeted with a warm smile. It was busy with a festival in Franklin, but that was not a bother to the staff. The ambiance is relaxed with a sense of urgency and the drinks coming across the bar made me want to try them all! If you prefer quality and experience - stop here.

We visited Gray’s on a busy Saturday for lunch without a reservation at 12:15, but were pleasantly surprised when they offered us a table reservation for 45 minutes later. This gave us the perfect opportunity to explore the charming downtown area, and our table was ready earlier than expected at 12:45.

Our server, Kelsey, was exceptional, keeping our water and tea glasses full while checking on us just the right amount throughout the meal. The service was quick—our food arrived within about 15 minutes—and everything was delicious. We tried the chicken salad sandwiches, which were outstanding, paired with the best fries we’ve ever had. The pork belly lettuce wraps were equally amazing. The menu offers a unique taste that really sets this place apart.

Gray’s has a cool vibe with rustic chic decor—exposed brick, warm wood accents, and vintage touches that give it a laid-back yet stylish atmosphere. The live music stage adds to the charm, and though we haven’t experienced the music yet, it’s definitely on our list for the next visit!

Waited at the hostess stand (for 10 minutes with no one else even in line) and was never even acknowledged by the person standing at the hostess stand. We finally just walked away. Much different than our usual experience.

I tried the lobster ravioli and I am not kidding when I say my first thought after I took a bite was “I have never tasted this much flavor in a dish ever” I was AMAZED! I love the atmosphere as well with multiple floors and live music! 10/10 a great idea for a night out.

Location was highly recommended. Reviewing the menu, we determined it really wasn't our style. However, we did enjoy 2 very good cocktails. A Manhattan with Bullets Bourbon (best ever) and Front Porch Swingin. They were pricey, though.

Grays on Main has quickly become one of our top dining spots in the area, and it's easy to see why. I highly recommend booking a reservation days to weeks in advance because this place is popular for all the right reasons. While waiting to be seated, the charm of downtown Franklin will keep you entertained with its array of sweet shops, unique stores, and lively bars.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere took us back in time, perfectly capturing the spirit of the 1800s when the town was founded. The entire table couldn't stop raving about the vibe—it’s truly something special.

Now, onto the food, which was absolutely incredible. We ordered the fried chicken, figs wrapped in bacon, and the filet with a side of cheese grits. Each dish was a standout, but the steak was the real star. It was so tender it melted in my mouth—one of those steaks you savor with every bite, soft like butter and rich like bone marrow.

Grays on Main is now our go-to spot for bringing friends and family for an unforgettable evening. If you're in Franklin, do yourself a favor and make a reservation. You won't be disappointed!

Beware, terrific atmosphere but cocktail cost is through the roof.
My spouse and I have one cocktail each at the bar (Angels Envy rye Manhattan up). Bill was $80 dollars. (We only have drinks no food) this includes a $13 dollar tip, as our server was very good and we sat at the bar for 35 minutes.
