Great American Cookies

Ordered a cookie for a birthday today. My phone says it’s dated for today they say their receipt for tomorrow all because they don’t have a decorator today. Tells me I can have the cookie tomorrow WHEN I CLEARLY NEEDED IT FOR TODAY. Then tells me I can’t even have a refund because it was a preorder but they haven’t even made it so why can’t it be cancelled and refunded? Why did the website let me order it for today? I get at least 6 cookie cakes a year from here and never will again!!! This was the Davenport Iowa location

I was not impressed with American Cookie Company in Mandeviile , La. I. Bought a $71.00 square cookie cake with the fish decoration on it. Just one big fish !!! On the web site it was $59.00. At the store the same cake was $71.00. Was not even fresh. Very disappointed. Everyone asked where it came from so they know not to get one from there The best part is I called and that was 4 days ago and the manager was supposed to call me back. Her name is Katie so I was told. I’m not calling back again but leaving a bad review. I would think I should have gotten a call by now but shows that this manager doesn’t care. I will never order from them again. At least not the location in Mandeville,La

Very disappointed I’ve ordered a few cakes from them. The first one was very pretty. It was a Friendsgiving cake the second not as good looking but not ugly like this third one I got today. It looks like they don’t know how to write in cursive. It was very sloppy. Also, I come here often for cookies and the employees are very rude and do not look like they want to be there. I wanted to take a picture with the cake and that will not be happening.

I'm writing to express my disappointment with the recent service. While I'm generally a fan of your cookies, my recent experience was significantly impacted by the unprofessional behavior of one of your employees.
During my visit on February 24th, I witnessed an employee just relaxing on the counter. Not only did this appear unsanitary, but it also gave a lack of concern for your customers. While I was trying to decide on my purchase, this employee remained seated, seemingly disengaged and not offering any assistance.
I understand that employees need breaks, but sitting on the counter, especially during peak customer hours, is unacceptable. It creates an unprofessional atmosphere and detracts from the overall experience. It also made me question the hygiene standards of the establishment. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously and that appropriate measures will be taken to address this issue. I believe that all customers deserve to be served by staff who are attentive, engaged, and maintain a professional demeanor. I would be more likely to return to your establishment if I knew that this type of behavior was not tolerated.

fine customer service not rude or anything just terrible cookies almost $8 for two terrible cookies that probably cost less then 50 cents to make. Would probably be way better and cheaper to make them home made

Ordered a cookie cake on the phone, gave design details. Went to pickup and it was blank. They said we can wait while they put on design we wanted. We got the cookie cake and they fell way short of the $60 we paid. Will never go back.

Sam & Samantha are just the kindest and most helpful people. They make some of the most incredible cookie cakes - I've had two of them now. The designs/artwork are spot on, and it's delicious to boot! Will be back. Highly recommend. ?

Went to the store with a birthday coupon for $5 off a cookie. I chose the doozy and paid the extra $1 and tax for the pricier cookie. The worker put it in a small wax paper bag and I went on walking through the mall. I did not have the bag pinched closed too tightly, I was holding it for the top opening. The bag seal came apart/open at the bottom (not from the top open part) and the cookie slipped out of the bottom onto the ground. I went back to ask for it to be replaced since it was the bag that ripped and not my doing. The worker charged me for a new cookie at full price then she proceeded to put it in a bigger paper bag and say to my face “oh this is the bag I usually put this type of cookie in” … knowing she made the mistake and still charged me for the replacement. Disappointed in the customer service and the worker. I sent a complaint the day this occurred to the website and never received a response. Bye Great American Cookie, don’t plan to come back.

Your cell phone is probably the most disgusting thing you own. After all, most people take their cell phones into the bathroom with them and sadly many people don’t wash their hands. Take a sample from most peoples cell phone and you’ll find urine, feces, and all kinds of other stuff on it.So, you can imagine my horror when the staff who all had the personalityof a rock, was sitting there playing on their cell phones while actively working ungloved with dough and frosting. ?How health departments allow these kinds of dangerous practices to go unnoticed without shutting down places like this is incredible. This is how things like listeria spreads people… Oh how we as a society have let standards erode…
