Ordered the brisket, pulled pork, and cole slaw. The brisket was AMAZING! Great flavor and so tender. The pulled pork didn't have much flavor to it so I would not recommend it. The cole slaw however was different than traditional cole slaw but delicious! If you're in the area it's worth a try!

Was in town for a day visit and was hungry for brisket and from I remember their brisket is amazing… My first mistake… I didn’t order the brisket. I decided to order the brisket bowl instead. Sounded good…. And it was gluten-free. I quickly regretted my decision and as you can see left most of it. Too many competing flavors and only a few bites of brisket. Wouldn’t order again but would return for my original choice. Brisket. If you like bbq do yourself a favor and try Hogwood’s.

Came into town for a horse show and this always our go-to spot with my fiancé. The ambience, food and staff are incredibly kind. I want to shoutout Emma, as she was very kind to us and even came over to pet my dog and bring her a dog water bowl.

It’s safe to say I’ve experienced a LOT of BBQ places across the U.S., including much of the midwestern and a south. This place was amazing. We only picked it because it was in proximity and google reviews said it was good. They were not lying. Hands down better than anything I’ve experienced in my home state of Alabama. Thinking about all the places that serve grits and you’d be shocked to know that this place even knocks that out of the park. Brisket, pulled pork, all of it was great. Fast, friendly, clean, priced excellent. Everything about our experience was above average.
