Found Miss Daisy's recently. I'm staying in an extended stay hotel that does not have full cooking facilities and really missing home cooked food. Miss Daisy's concept of cooking on site with good quality ingredients and no preservatives and then refrigerating to go dishes for reheating is awesome. Stopped by Friday, Sept 26th, and bought several things to take home & bake; spinach-bacon quiche, cheesy chicken casserole, and 2 ready to eat pies (pecan pie, and chocolate pie). The next day, the quiche was baked and delicious as always. I've always been a huge fan of Miss Daisy's cooking and loved the Take Home & Bake concept of Miss Daisy's Kitchen, her last venture. I have the dessert gene, so I may be biased in that I love her cake & pies too....
I made a bereavement food basket and it was perfect. Randi made it so easy to come in and select items from breakfast quiches, cinnamon rolls, pimento cheese, chicken salad, pasta salad and several chicken casseroles. The 5x7 pans made it easy to feed a few at a time or more and the variety was perfect. I added fresh fruit, a couple bottles of wine and it was nice. The receiver said the food was delicious and easy to make. I will be back.
