My husband and I came to share the Italian nachos, and they were delicious! We also got the chopped salad and the blackened chicken Caesar salad. Both were the perfect size and made with fresh, crisp ingredients.

We stopped in on a Thursday night at 6:30 pm. Restaurant only had people at three tables when we arrived. Several people were at bar. After about 45 minutes we had not received our thin crust individual size pizza and we asked to speak with the manager. He/She never came to our table. We also did not seen our waitress after she took our order. Our drinks were never refilled. As we were about to leave the pizza finally arrived. Our drinks were empty and no refills were offered. Needless to say, we will not be back.

On a Saturday, roughly 2 - 2:30pm. 2 servers, and a bartender on staff. Roughly 4-6 tables occupied. 4 people in our party.
Took 15 minutes to get seated, and was seated by a guy who seemed to only be there to deliver for GrubHub.
Another 15 minutes went by and my group decided that if we weren't spoken or even looked at by a server by 3pm that we would leave. 3pm on the nose and a server finally approached our table. We tell her that we changed our minds and that we're going somewhere else. She timidly apologized and stated they were understaffed.
They were not understaffed. We were there during off hours, and this place was staffed by people who just did not care or want to be there. You could tell by their body language, the many occurrences of eye contact, the multiple dirty tables, etc.
I've been here twice before prior to COVID, during busy hours and this place was poppin. Great food and great service, during peak hours.
We ended up going to the new Neighbors location down the road and it was awesome. Polar opposite experience. Barely had our foot in the door and we were seated with an enthusiastic smile, served immediately, received food quickly, and it was excellent.
Old Chicago has a hiring and management problem and you can tell.

Their deep dish pizza is NOT deep dish. It’s like Pizza Hut pizza.

We are currently on a low carb/keto diet so we decided to try the cauliflower crust pizza and salad. They also have wings, and entree salad options that would be great as well. The cauliflower crust was actually really good and very similar to regular thin crust. Pleasant, and quiet atmosphere.
Dietary restrictions: They have options for low carb/keto diet.

Ryan is very attentive, always ready to make suggestions. He is a great employee and a good example for new employees.

Walked in, and nobody was there to seat us. Once someone showed up, we were seated, but no one showed up at the table to take our order..So I pulled out my phone and set my timer for 5 minutes. 5 minutes later, still no service. At that point, we just left.
Thanks for the reply, but, no thanks..I won't be coming back anytime soon. Based on the other recent reviews here, my experience wasn't out of the ordinary.
I'm going to state this as clearly as possible for you, because I honestly want you and your restaurant to succeed.
The problem isn't your staff.
It's you, and the decisions you're making as a manager.
You're going to continue to lose business until you, the owner, realize that you're getting what you're paying for. The problem is, you've actively chosen to basically hire kids, and presumably pay them kid wages, expecting that this will somehow magically produce adult levels of accountability and adult levels of professionalism. You might even be patting yourself on the back thinking you're saving money with this approach, but in reality, you're losing that much money, or more, by slowly eroding your customers' loyalty.
While I was there, I couldnt help but notice three things. 1) You're understaffed. 2) There was no one there setting an example for your staff, and 3) Nobody there looked a day older than 22-23. That tells me turnover is high, leadership is thin, and the staff is inexperienced.
They're behaving like they're aloof, adrift and uncaring because with no one setting a continuous example, they don't have any reason to deliver service above bare minimums. You are cultivating that by not being a consistent and active presence on the floor, or at the very least, having some senior member of staff there to set an example.
You are getting exactly what you're paying for.
If you think good help is expensive, think about how expensive it is to lose business over the fact you didn't pay a couple f'ing bucks more an hour to attract the right kind of employee.
Take your staff to dinner at Longhorn down in Spring Hill. Tell them, I'll pay for your meals tonight, but I don't want you to talk to eachother until we're done. Instead, I want you to observe. I want you to observe how the wait staff here operates, how they help eachother, and how the manager up front interacts with them and the guests. Make notes on your phone. Because two weeks from now, I'll be giving a hundred dollar bonus to the one who most closely duplicates that level of effort and professionalism.
I assure you, for whatever you end up paying, it will be worth it.

5 stars for the waitress. But the atmosphere much like the menu is misleading, everything about this place wants to be Chicago except the Digiorno pizza. I was disappointed as quickly as I was excited about the chance to have a piece of home. Fyi, Chicago pizza ALWAYS has crust, like separate from the sauce and cheese, it’s also always crunchy.
Don’t waste your time with the same hopes I had and set yourself up for disappointment.

The service is definitely subpar. There’s a 10 top table and a booth with 4 in it. There’s employees walking around on their phones while I stood at the front for 10 minutes before someone even spoke to me.

It was the first time I had a vegetable pizza and then added grilled chicken. It was incredibly fantastic!
