Shoney's has been around since I was a kid, if I remember correctly a man named Ray Danner started this place in Madison, Tennessee. I did not check my facts on this so forgive me if I am wrong about that. Sadly, this restaurant just can't seem to do anything to grow its clientele. Over the years they have tried new menus and offerings, but all of the ones around here that I drive by seem to have not very full parking lots. I don't understand this, because their breakfast bar is outstanding! I have gone there three times over the last couple of months, and I do not see anything except a whole lot of great food, and plenty of it. Everything on their breakfast bar is well cooked and delicious, and there is plenty of variety, even their salad bar is part of the breakfast offering. The salad bar is open all day as well. I totally dig Shoney's, give this place a try if you have not been there or it has been awhile. You'll probably like it! Very friendly and attentive staff at the Franklin, Tennessee location too.

Ate here on our way home . Food was delicious. They had a seafood buffet. Boiled & fried shrimp , crab cakes,fresh vegetables & salad . Staff was friendly & gave good service. The seating was a bit worn in some places. If you don't mind that it was definitely worth the price !

I guess I should have ordered a burger. I think those are OK. I had the fried shrimp. Not particularly good. I had the green beans and baked potato and they were OK. My husband wanted to go because he said he liked the variety of the salad bar. On the buffett, he had fried chicken and he said it wasn't good, but he did like the salad bar. Our waitress was nice.

The strawberry pie is ALWAYS a favorite, and the hot fudge cake is SOOOOO DELICIOUS!! Service is fast and very friendly; made our party of 6 feel very welcome!!!

Pleasant atmosphere. The staff was very friendly. Food buffet: The was tasty, at least, what was there. Few choices, but good. One tablemate had a cheeseburger and fries, which she enjoyed. Would eat there again and refer it to others.

The food was good (late breakfast ordered off the menu), but this is really in need of remodeling. Many booths with large rips...at least one with the seat falling in...and the men's restroom is a total WRECK!! I'm giving it 2 stars until a remodel is done.
