I’ve never liked Cajun food but when I tried the drunk chicken 😃it was exactly like thanksgiving dinner in every bite

Simply outstanding food! Authentic Louisiana-style flavors in every dish. Quick service and friendly staff just added to the enjoyable experience. Will be going back regularly.
You will not regret visiting this place! Everything is great and the price is so very reasonable. Let's keep this place in business!
Hidden gem in Franklin TN. Small storefront with decent parking.Walked into the dining area and found counter service with call window pick up showcasing a rotating menu of Cajun food.Jambalaya, gumbo, chicken macque choux.... you can order a 1/2 plate, full plate or 1/2 and 1/2.Gumbo was plentiful but mildly spiced. They provide a ton of hot sauces to add and the prices include taxes. Here's the Breakdown:Cool dudes running the place +1 star; no BS pricing +1 star; plentiful portions +1 star; tasty vittles (would like more spice from the kitchen but I get the control the heat idea) +1 star; Cajun food +1 star.A for sure go back.
This was great food, for a great price. The owner was very friendly. He gave us the full rundown of the menu including what was gluten free; because I have a teenager that is gluten free. Everything we had was great including the peanut butter pie.
Excellent Cajun food, true to Cajun style. Cook it mild but give it a plethora of sauces to spice it up if you want. You can also choose half and half plates if you can't decide (we did!) Chili cheese etouffee with crawfish and Chipotle Alexio with chicken on one plate. Drunken chicken and gumbo on the second plate. But you can't underestimate the bread and the great Cajun butter concoction that adds an amazing flavor.
5 stars all around. Manager was running register and answering questions, even offered a small sample when I asked about a dish I didn't recognize. A ton of food for a great price. I'll warn you though, the bread they give you makes you want a whole loaf...
Great assortment of etouffes - a mix of classics (crawfish, sausage) and various daily specials all served over rice with some delicious buttery, spiced bread. Great helpful service and affordable prices. Will be back!
One of the best places around Nashville for a delicious but cheap meal. Super casual with a walk up counter. If you don’t know what you want, don’t hesitate to ask for a sample!
I can not say enough GOOD things about how DELICIOUS this place is! My wife and I eat here every time we pass it! Every. Time! And it's worth it.Everything we tried is absolutely delicious! Their signature dish actually one of the two I get every time as well, and I don't usually get the same thing over and over anywhere.
Restaurantji Recommends
Amazing food place in Nashville, probably one of the best. We got the Chilli cheese etoufee with crawfish, drunken chicken and chorizo etoufee and all of them were awesome. Prices are incredibly within range - 10 dollars for a half and half plate (including taxes). So nice to see such amazing food delivered at reasonable prices!
This is the only restaurant we returned during our two week stay in Franklin for work. Highly recommend the Chili Cheese Etouffee and Gumbo!
I’m from Louisiana, but was let down too often by the Cajun food offerings here, so I stopped trying. We’ll, after years of knowing Yats was here, I finally stopped by for lunch. Wow! The red beans was incredible! It was smoky, rich, and smooth. I wish I could learn their recipe. Try it, you won’t be sorry. “Laissez les bons temps rouler!”
From the moment I entered, Brad was amazing! After sampling the menu items l, I went for the 1/2 & 1/2 with Chili Cheese Etoufee with Crawfish & Chicken Maque Choux. Both were excellent! Also the French Bread with the special sauce is worth the trip alone! I eat out a lot and I do not give many 5 stars. YATS deserves it! Don’t miss this place!
Loved the vegetarian/vegan options!!The staff here are so sweet.Very tasty New Orleans style food!!We were reminded of NOLA! (Thank you for some Mardi Gras chains) ?Please bring the po-boys too ??
