Zushimaki is a local gem featuring excellent cuisine and equally excellent service in an unassuming location. Their Pho is unparalleled around Franklin (Vui's, you're on notice) and my wife loves their Thai cuisine. The deconstructed sushi bowls are also a "fan favorite", I recommend the Tony bowl.

Name of restaurant is a bit confusing as the sign above the door says Sunset sushi and thai, but the food was delicious and service was very prompt even in the middle of the lunch rush!Kind employees. I enjoyed my visit there!

Dined at the bar since I was by myself. Staff was friendly and attentive, I think every staff member spoke to me. Everyone who walked in the door was greeted fast and many seemed like regulars who were known by name.My food tasted great. It was out super fast. I ordered Pad Thai and was a little surprised it came out faster than my fried dumpling appetizer. Despite the weird timing, the dish was hot and tasty. The dumplings arrived a few minutes later and they too were tasty.Watching the sushi chef pump out some tasty rolls, I was sad I didn’t order any. Next time, I will.

We spent several minutes trying to find this place. The name of the restaurant is NOT Zushimaki. It’s one thing if it’s hard to find, it’s another if the RESTAURANT NAMES DONT MATCH. Absolutely unacceptable. To top it off, the mint leaves were rotten and no lime was provided. NEVER coming here again and I will recommend against it to family and friends.

Thai food here - super tasty. Good place to hang and eat some good food. Looking forward to a return visit. This place has a good atmosphere. I can see why they have so many great reviews.

The food was excellent, and there was a lot if it. I had the pad thai and there was a very generous amount of chicken. In all, there was much more than my (grown) children and I could eat. That almost never happens as my son is a high-metabolism athlete. The people were friendly, the food was hot when it was served, and the restaurant was clean. We will definitely go back. They've changed the name, but GPS still got us there.

Our order total was $55. The only decent thing I had was the Crab Rangoon. Everything else was quite horrible. I had the curry with rice (the worst I’ve ever had), and my sushi tasted like the day-old sushi you’d get at a grocery store.I was extremely confused, due to the good ratings (which I looked at before deciding on the place). I’m from South Carolina and was in Franklin for business...maybe South Carolinians have a very different standard for food, I don’t know. If I’m ever in Franklin again, I’ll be sure to avoid this place.

Previously Zushimaki, now Sunset Shishi and Thai. Tony is an amazing sushi chef. The Sushi flavor is so rich and delicious and Tony is fast. I highly recommend Sunset Sushi and Thai.

We LOVE sushi. Unfortunately, since a little sushi house closed in the Florida panhandle a few years ago, we’ve searched the Southeast in vain for exceptional sushi (Atlanta, Birmingham, Chattanooga, New Orleans, and Nashville not to mention a lot of smaller cities along the way). Tonight we ate dinner at Zushimaki/Sunset and our search has ended. This place is amazing. The restaurant is clean and the staff friendly and attentive. That was great, but what makes this place exceptional is the food. The house salad and ginger dressing were fresh and tasty. The miso soup was flavorful, smooth, and delicious. And the sushi...omg the sushi. We had the King Cobra and Yummie rolls and they were two of the best we’ve ever eaten. The flavors are amazing and the seafood fresh and flavorful. We will most definitely be back. Again, and again, and again. THANK YOU Zushimaki!!!

The place is small and cozy. The food was very good. The service was excellent. We're were served our salads immediately after the drinks, and before we were finished with them, the next course arrived. We really enjoyed the Sunflower sushi and the Pho. I would definitely hunt for this place if I return to the area.
