There's 'NOTHING' I wouldn't recommend about Allison's Catfish Restaurant! From the time you arrive until you've finished is a wonderful dining experience you won't get anywhere else! Even if there's a line out the door you'd never know it! Such beautiful grounds to stroll through! Just don't go too far or you'll lose your place in line! Believe me when I say "you won't be sorry for the wait!" And did I mention the food is great, wonderful, awesome, to die for, fantastic and just plain good? Lol! That's the first thing I should have said! But seriously, it's one of the best and most beautiful restaurants I've had the pleasure of dining at!

Best catfish I've ever tasted! Lovely down home atmosphere. Big piece of coconut cream pie that tasted like grandma's, well worth the price. The wait was long and I had to park 100 yards away. But this place is seasonal and closes up after today. I was told the wait was not unusual. I think it was an hour. When open, it's just on Fridays and Saturdays from 5-9 PM.

Very enjoyable meal of catfish, hush puppies, coleslaw, and baked potato served fast by pleasant servers. Highly recommended local institution. Open only 2 days a week and is seasonal so call ahead for reservations.

I had heard about this restaurant for several years but I must admit I was sadly disappointed. I arrived early and I sat out front waiting for a table. The sitting area had several cob webs above your head, on the benches, and in the fans. It frankly is very gross and the restaurant should maintain the seating area better. We had to wait while the restaurant took parties of 5 that had reservations. We had a party of two and we sat and waited. Everyone should be able to make reservations regardless of the size of party because I didn't appreciate arriving early and watching parties pull up and go before me. The catfish is one of the best I ever tasted but it not worth sitting amongst cob webs and waiting while the restaurant takes large party after large party. This restaurant needs to invest in a good pest control service.

If you like Catfish, THIS IS THE PLACE to eat!! I had the small 6 ounce Catfish meal with Shrimp. Plus the delicious hush-puppies, baked potato, and sweet coleslaw, and I was stuffed to the gills! The fresh brewed Tea is just right, and half of this dinner came home!!
