Garcia's Taqueria & Mexican Grill

We were here about a year ago and food and service was really good. We came back today and the food was ok (rice and beans were good, but some of the other things were kind of bland). We ordered of the lunch menu at 2:55 (receipt said 2:57), but they tried to charge us dinner prices (starts at 3). They argued with us about it and refused to change the price. We won't be back. You shouldn't argue with your customers over $5 when they are clearly right and it says that on the receipt

* updated to say, thank you for acknowledging and addressing my concern. Long time fan, first time complainer 🤢 Ive never seen a burrito float. That is not a new summer treat we need to get behind. It is infact, pretty gnarly. I enjoyed my sope, but considering my mother's birthday and wish for a simple bean and beef burrito led to this arriving on her table. Do better, please. We all work hard for our money and know you guys work the hardest in the food industry but we need better.

Traveling thru town and based on other reviews decided to stop in. Glad I did! Grew up in Southern California with lots of mexican food, so I’m kinda picky. Ordered quesa birria and it was amazing! Would highly recommend stopping here. *Note - I’m from out of town and when I went to the Water St location it doesn’t look like the pic I saw in reviews and I was a little hesitant to go in. Go in if Google takes you to this location, it’s good food!

Loved it

The service was good. We have eaten here several times before. This is the first time in a while, the food did not have any seasonings on it, it was really bland and the salsa tasted as if it was made with ketchup or tomato soup. Was not a good experience.

My husband ordered a margarita w/salt on the rim. The drink came without the salt and our server told us they don’t make their margaritas that way. I ordered 3 crunchy chicken tacos and our server brought me 4. The chicken was NOT SEASONED. There was absolutely no taco seasoning whatsoever. It was some boiled, shredded chicken that had a weird almost chemical taste to it. I told our server it tasted awful and I couldn’t eat whatever this was. She just took the plate away and said that she didn’t think she could get the meal taken off our bill. We had ordered some cheese dip as an appetizer and that never came. Our server had chance after to chance to try and make this right; she just didn’t care, I guess. The manager did end up taking the chicken tacos off our bill. Needless to say we won’t be back.
