My sister in law and a googled a homestyle restaurant near gallatin tennessee, this restaurant came up, we stopped there and on the door it said that cash or check only, we went and got cash and went in to eat. My sister in law ordered the rubuen sandwich and I got the chicken livers with macaroni.And cheese and green beans, cornbread and a salad bar, everything was absolutely delicious! Our waitress was so sweet and the food was so delicious , home cooking, if you want home cooking , come to maples restaurant just be sure to have cash or check on hand.

Cheapest place you can eat in Gallatin. Good food nice people.
It is substandard at best. The floor is sticky, unclean. It took a long time for them to notice that we were there to eat. Nursing home food is a little better than here. The atmosphere was old people or people that can't do any better. Waitress had very limited personality but was making enough money for tattoos.

Ate here for the first time today. We tried Sunday, the parking lot was packed and then we found out they only accept cash or checks :( Bummer. But we didn't give up, came back today (Tuesday morning) and boy, were we glad that we did. It may not look like much from the outside (or the inside for that matter) but don't let that sway your decision. My wife was rather apprehensive, that is until the food came out. I had two eggs, sausage, hashbrowns with sausage gravy and two biscuits. My wife had two eggs, pork tenderloin, hash browns and grits. Both of us also had a sweet tea. The food was really very good and tasty, biscuits were fantastic. We had all of that and it was $17 for BOTH of us together!!! We will definitely be back. I want to try them for dinner sometime as well. Hometown, home cooked...you can't beat it.
