Martin's Chicken and Waffles

We stopped by on our way to a Friday night football game and we were not disappointed. The food, service and atmosphere were great. My husband and I ordered the catfish and it was crispy and flavorful. The employees were very welcoming. We left full and with a smile on our face. We will definitely be back!

Only one way to describe Martin’s… Amazing. The Hot chicken and waffles is incredible. Perfect heat and sweet with the syrup. But what’s sold this place to me was the Customer service and hospitality. You can tell that they really take pride in what they make. Such awesome people…. And those turnip greens… WOW!

First time there this morning and it won’t be the last! The entire menu looked appetizing, finally decided on chicken and waffles. So delicious! I think I’ve found my new go to spot. And also to mention the crew was so kind and very efficient! Great place! Highly recommend!!!!!!!

Martin's Chicken and Waffles is AMAZING – there's simply no other way to put it. My son and I went for dinner, and from the moment we walked in, we knew we were somewhere special.

Of course, we both ordered the chicken and waffles – when a place puts their name on a dish, you have to try it, right? And wow, did it deliver! The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside, and the waffles were fluffy, golden perfection. The combination is exactly what comfort food dreams are made of, and you can taste why this place has become such an institution.

What really struck me, though, was the atmosphere. Just listening to the conversations around us, you could tell this is a genuine local favorite – the kind of place where regulars come back again and again, where people bring their friends and family, and where locals feel right at home. That authenticity and community vibe made the whole experience even better.

If you haven't been to Martin's yet, stop what you're doing and go. This isn't just good food – it's an experience, a tradition, and absolutely a must-visit. We're already planning our return trip!

First time here, my wife had the pulled pork sandwich, with white beans and the Mac and cheese. I had the chicken sandwich, with French fries and Mac and cheese. Everything was very good. I especially liked the breading the chicken has on it. Great flavor. And we LOVED the Mac and Cheese, it tasted soooo good! Awesome selection. We definitely be back, to support local and black owed business. So glad y'all did not close! We will come again soon. Thank you!

Remarkable food! Beautiful people! THE best food in Gallatin Tn HANDS DOWN! Whatever you do don’t judge this book by its cover! It’s a small establishment at first sight but it’s colossal in terms of quality! Do yourself a huge favor and go experience Martin’s Chicken and Waffles!

my wife surprised me with this restaurant because she knows I love chicken and waffles. Let me tell you, they were fantastic! if that’s what you’re looking for, this is the place! I can’t wait to come back and try the rest of their menu, I have no doubt that it will be equally delicious. The service was fantastic, atmosphere was great. we came on a Sunday morning and it was super chill. Don’t walk, run to this place! 😎

The restaurant was nice and so was the staff but i asked for breaded chicken and they gave me skinless chicken im very disappointed.

Outside of that the other food was order was amazing . I would recommend giving them a try.

Popped in on a random Saturday afternoon and they knocked it out of the park. They were just wonderful from the sweet young girl who seated me to the owner and family. Everything was cooked properly and the salmon was amazing. He asked if it was as good as grandma made and I told him better than any I had ever had...Grandma didn't actually make salmon that I remember, so no loyalty loss there. These folks were just the best.

What a hidden gem in downtown Gallatin!! Food is amazing! Service is outstanding!! I believe we have found our new go to place to eat!! Food is freshly made to order, and absolutely totally worth the wait! Can't wat for our next visit!! Tonight!!!

I should have taken a picture, but you can’t taste a picture so you’re gonna have to go try it yourself. The meatloaf was amazing!!! Sides were delicious! The ribs were delicious too, my wife had to finish the ribs just because they were a little too spicy for me, but I have bad acid reflex or I would have eaten them.
I almost wish I wouldn’t have eaten there because now I’m going to want it all of the time. If you’re thinking about it, go now! Don’t wait or settle for some chain restaurant.

This is true soul food and it’s INCREDIBLE. Everything we got was a 10/10. Even the roll!!! Yum. Coming back again for the meatloaf because that was a hitter. I’ve never had anything like it. The mashed potatoes are also heavenly.
