If I could rate this 0 stars I would. From the moment you walk in, you’re met with a friendly host but an environment that reminded me of the shining. Slightly eerie, quiet where you could hear silverware clatter & customers all slowly turned their heads as we made our way to wait in the back patio. We expected a wait due to convenient signage indicating there was staff shortage. We waited on the lovely back patio for about 20 minutes which seemed very reasonable ( although there was not one car in the parking lot). By the time we had been seated, not a soul remained in the booths. Our waiter, Aaron, was lovely. Very kind, took our order as soon as we were sat. After we ordered, we waited another 45 minutes before our food came. which seemed surprising because there should not have been a backup in the kitchen. When the food came, one of us received the wrong slab of meat, the other was ordered to be medium rare, however it appeared to still be moo-ing it was so purple inside. I’m pretty sure I could still see the heartbeat pulsing through it. After notifying Aaron of the meat mishap, he quickly apologized and rushed back to the kitchen to try and rectify the situation. A mere five minutes later, Aaron returned with a prime rib that was requested to be medium rare, but was brown in color, dry, and appeared to have been nuked in the microwave on high for 30 seconds. Thank the high heavens for the world’s saltiest AuJu. I wasn’t going to complain about the meat, didn’t want to ruin my experience completely because I still had a delicious baked potato, and a bowl of sweet baby rays with a few Brussel sprouts sprinkled in. So if you’re in the mood for interacting with very kind people, the Alamo is the place to go. However, if you’re hungry and want edible food I’d stick to the baked potato and bring your Buc-ee’s jerky.

My husband and I visited today for our honeymoon dinner. Kelly was our waitress and she was phenomenal! The food was very flavorful. We had potato skins for an appetizer and my husband got the bone in ribeye and I ordered the Parmesan horseradish filet mignon that Kelly recommended and it was the best steaks we’ve had. Food came out quickly too. We will definitely be back!

I absolutely adore the location near the creek. It was a gorgeous day! The wait was only 15-20 minutes on a Sunday, which was great. Our steak was just okay. I ordered a medium-rare steak, but it was well-done. But hey, I’m not going to throw it away! Our sides weren’t fresh. The fries were cold and stale, and the brussel sprouts were a bit burnt than usual. The dinner rolls were doughy and needed more time in the oven. We barely got refills. I don’t know, I just didn’t feel very welcome. But the scenery outside was beautiful, so that made up for it. We read the reviews and thought it would be a great place, so maybe they just had a bad day on this day. I wish them the best!

You don't need atmosphere when you have food like this. To start, the mozzarella stix were amazing. The rolls with honey butter, delicious. The rib eye was the best I've ever had.

Despite being short-staffed when we visited, everybody did a fantastic job. The filet was cooked perfectly medium rare.

I absolutely love this place. One of the reasons we chose to return to this area for vacation this year was because of their amazing food.

We ate here twice while in the area for the week. I got the filet both times and it was perfect. Husband had ribeye and chop steak and he said both were very good. As always, the rolls and butter were amazing. Service is also always on point. Definitely recommend!
