“Celebrating Valentine’s Day and the end of my husband’s successful cancer treatment!! As per usual, this place did not disappoint!! We were seated quickly and the service was excellent. My husband had the ribeye, seasoned and cooked perfectly medium rare. I had the grilled salmon which was fantastic as well. This place is always a destination for us when we are in Gatlinburg!”

“We had dinner at Howard’s last night (8-13). We had a beautiful table over looking the water. Our waitress was great. I wish I had remembered her name but was she was from Romania. We were a party of 4, 3 had the ribeye and 1 the filet. All were cooked perfectly. It was a nice way to celebrate my partners birthday! Thanks again for a nice evening!”

“Without a doubt the best ribs anywhere in the southeast. Fall off the bone and the rib sauce was out of this world. The sweet potato casserole was the bomb too. Good salad bar also. The staff, waiters and waitresses were kind and friendly. Reasonable prices !!!! I myself will eat there again and again every time I visit.”

“We were looking for place to eat when we walked by the restaurant. A beautiful very friendly young woman (Janelle) invited us to eat there. She told us about the menu etc. We were seated at a table by the river. The building was beautifully decorated and the candles added to the great ambiance. We started off with salad, meatballs and wings. We then sampled many different pizzas. You can also request the chef to make a custom pizza. We followed up with a sampling of dessert pizza. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.”

“We had an amazing evening at Redoak Bistro. It was cozy and romantic offering a dining experience that was the perfect balance of elegance and comfort. The bistro is run by a delightful husband and wife duo whose hospitality is exceptional, and you can tell they pour their hearts into every aspect of the restaurant, making it a truly special place. The small plates menu was a standout—each dish was a beautiful homage to European flavors with great attention given to presentation and service. We had the smoked salmon bruschetta, the duck foie gras, the smoked oyster flatbread and enjoyed a bottle of Malbec, then ended with a delicious chocolate torte. Absolutely Amazing!! Can’t wait to go back!”

“My husband and I went to Gatlinburg for our honeymoon in October. The Smoky Mountain Trout House was my favorite restaurant we went to while we were there for a week. We got the trout fritters for an appetizer and they were delicious! I’ve never had anything like them. I got the blackened trout. Delicious. Best trout I’ve ever had!”

“I had an amazing day at Anakeesta! It is whimsical, while still adrenaline pumping. My only complaint is food prices, and that just looking for something negative to give in this review. The mountain coasters are so much fun. The Astra Lumina is an immersive experience. The Ziplining was exhilarating. The Zipline Crew MADE the whole experience. Thank you Taylor, Jess, Chad, Connor, and Jynx (pardon any spelling errors). Taylor really helped me work through a fear of heights. Thank you all! I 10/10 recommend Anakeesta, especially on a Sunday in winter. There were little to no waits. You can also prepurchase tickets far in advance of your trip. If you have a fear of heights, I don't recommend the chair lift. Use one of the few Gondola cabins or take the provided shuttle to the top!”

“We visit Smoky Mountain Brewery frequently. It is one of our favorite places in Gatlinburg. The food is always great along with the service. We always eat in the bar because our favorite server is Oana from Romania. She always remembers what beer we drink and when she takes our order she never writes anything down which always amazes us. She is very attentive and always pleasant to talk to. One of the reasons we always enjoy our visits to the Brewery.”

“We stopped in for the Reuben Sandwich that we’ve heard so much about … and it didn’t disappoint!! My husband just wanted a good quality hotdog and Jed’s serves Nathan’s, so he was very satisfied. Josh, Luke and Genevieve were the best hosts ever. So warm and friendly. They made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our lunch outside on their lovely patio. Genevieve checked on us multiple times and offered water for our pup Sissy! Seriously, make Jed’s a stopping point on your visit to Gatlinburg!!”

“Conveniently located pizzeria with great tasting food and friendly service.

The pizza is exactly what you want after a long hike at the Smokey Mountains or shopping in downtown. The Caeser salad and chicken Alfredo was also great food options we ordered along with the pizza. Sodas were a bit pricey but the local beer was a great bargain for a restaurant at $4 a bottle.

The dining area is quaint and the fireplace adds to the relaxing environment. There is also outdoor seating if it suits. No outside heaters were seen.

Our server Angela was a gem. Friendly smile and always attentive to any requests we had.

Parking: Parking is super difficult to find. If you are staying in the area it is worth a walk if nearby.

Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly menu if not ordering pizza.”

“So this little place is literally a walk up window while traversing the sidewalk in gatlinburg. We had a little bit of a wait in line and then about a 10 minute wait for our drinks to be made as a few people were in front of us. There was a bench to sit on right across from this place, so we waited there. We both got large drinks and they were definitely a large!!! Well worth the money! We paid extra to do oatmilk in my iced chai latte and my bf’s toffee frappe, so our total was about $21. Our drinks were both absolutely delicious!! Definitely recommending trying this place out! Only bummer is a lot of the stores don’t allow drinks inside…. So if you get a large, you’ll be working on it for awhile and that limits what places you can walk into….

Parking: There are some paid parking lots but they are pricey and often full. Our hotel is about 1/2 mile from this place, so we just walked everywhere while we stayed in gatlinburg.”

“I love Fannie Farkle’s. I just wish they would stay open later. I remember going here late night as a kid because it was the only thing still open. But now it’s one of the business that close at 9 pm :( when it use to stay open till midnight.”

“it was a first time for us and i was absolutely amazed at all of the different items available and the amount of knowledge about the products. the guy in the store was very nice and extremely patient with all of my questions considering i’m a lover of coffee and the whole tea thing is new for me! i am going to experiment with the many different recipes they have available and some of the spices and really neat sugars that are in the store. my husband is excited to try out the bourbon honey!! if i was to recommend one thing it would be daily tea samples for us Java Junkies to explore!! overall i was very pleased with the staff, service and i’m excited to try some tea!!! keep up the great work and we will be back to see you in Gatlinburg!!! we even found a local pottery store called the potter and the park that sells “tea jars”.”

“We had rented a house here in town and had not gone grocery shopping yet. We headed downtown for breakfast but the lines were crazy at 10:15 on a Thursday. So, we drove out to the Double Tree's grill and arrived at 10:25. Got right in. They had a breakfast buffet which I filled a plate and then saw they had a made to order Omelette bar. Thank goodness I got one of those before they closed at 11. The fruit bar was amazing, the omelette was terrific. I nibbled the few things-bacon, potatoes, scrambled eggs and sausage biscuits and gravy off the buffet section-I would give that section 2 stars, but the fruit and omelette 5 stars. We noticed when we were leaving they had cereal, bagels, toast and english muffins, pancakes, and a good variety of juices. We had soda's (free with buffet). Two adults $37 plus tip at table and tip at omelette bar. After seeing other reviews, I wish we had received the breakfast menu, and not the lunch/dinner menu.”

“The License to Chill Bar, inside the Margaritaville resort, is a full cocktail bar that also serves some food. The bar is fun with several large screen TVs to watch sporting events. There is also a very nice seating area outside with a large fireplace and toss the bag games. This faces the pool where they also offer service.

“We were in the mall and could smell the pizza from one of the higher levels. I ordered a small, 10-inch cheese pizza to share with my partner. In all honesty, we should have gotten some slices, because it would have been around the same price, and I think the slices would have technically been bigger. We placed our order and I paid with a card, which incurred a 4% credit card surcharge. We waited about ten minutes for our pizza. When it came out, it was piping hot and tasted really good! I almost wish I had gotten a larger size. The flavor was great and the crust was perfectly crispy and thin. The only potential "red flag" I noticed was that when we visited, two children were working. The person who took our order was a child, then I noticed another one in the kitchen. I understand this is a family business, and the children were super respectful, but it was something unique about this pizza place that I had not noticed in other places I have been to. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience here and would recommend stopping in.”
