“We had dinner at Howard’s last night (8-13). We had a beautiful table over looking the water. Our waitress was great. I wish I had remembered her name but was she was from Romania. We were a party of 4, 3 had the ribeye and 1 the filet. All were cooked perfectly. It was a nice way to celebrate my partners birthday! Thanks again for a nice evening!”

“Such a quaint cute place tucked back in the corner. If you don't know where it is, or not hunting for it, you may miss it. But I think the people who know about it, like it that way! A seriously good meal! All the food was hot and fresh and full of flavor. We had gumbo, jambalaya and a shrimp po boy. Good options for drinks, just no unsweetened tea.”

“A friend and I got to go orders, the people were so friendly while we waited and the food was amazing even after waiting to eat until we got home. The breakfast virtuous were amazing and well seasoned turkey sausage, and crispy tater tots! My blackberry pancakes were light and fluffy and the whipped cream was FIRE!!! 10/10 loved this place!!!”

“JOIN THE WAIT LIST. This restaurant is absolutely worth the wait. Everything is made from scratch. The food is delicious. The omelette is huge and tastes like real egg not fake eggs. The pancakes are so moist and fluffy. This place is a must! We had a huge party and the service was amazing. I will be back!!

Two things to note- the steak skillet is NOT steak it’s just a burger. I’m not sure why they use the word steak. Also parking is $20 which is rediculous, I wish they validated parking. This area takes advantage of tourists- not necessarily the restaurants fault.”

“I’m an ice cream snob who lives in northern Illinois, just miles from Wisconsin. I work in a dairy factory. I have high standards for ice cream as it’s my favorite treat. My wife and I just spent a week in Gatlinburg. Lots to see and do. This is the only place that was so good that I had to go a second time before heading back home. The ice cream was rich, delicious, a significant step above several others in the area (trust me I nearly tried them all). I was especially impressed with their chocolate which had honey in it. They must use quality ingredients that cost extra for the owners because this doesn’t taste mass produced. It has real artisan flavor. My only regret is that it’s 10 hours away from home. At least I bought a pretty pottery coffee cup to remember them by.”

I also tried their chocolate chip cookie & macadamia cookie, it was delicious! I highly recommend if you want GOOD COFFEE.”

“I was on the hunt for coffee before we stared out day in Gatlinburg. My husband found this shop tucked away in a corner so I gave it a go. The iced Raspberry Mocha was delicious and just what I needed. Customer service was amazing and the coffee was made quickly. Be sure to check them out when you visit.”

We were there one night when they were very short staffed ( last year )and he actually gave our waitress money out of his own pocket because she always showed up when she was supposed to and complemented her in front of a lot of customers. “We flew in from Washington state, starting our trip in Nashville, then Pigeon Forge and decided to spend one of our last days in Gatlinburg. On a whim, stopped at Waffle De Lys. The pictures on the menu looked yummy, but most of the time the food doesn’t look like the pictures. That wasn’t the case here! The waffle came out looking just like the picture. Now for the taste. It was hands down the best thing I had in Tennessee!! Best waffle I’ve ever had in my life! The toppings were amazing. I had the oh la la. The waffle itself is different than any other waffle. I can’t even describe it, but it’s delicious! I finished it and realized I didn’t even take a photo of the beautiful creation! The only thing I’m bummed about is that I didn’t find this place sooner! If we’re ever back in Tennessee, I would drive out of my way to stop here! Great, friendly customer service too!”

Then we realized it is under new ownership and we have been missing out for two-years! I had the Morning Mist Chicken Sandwich and it was wonderful. Hubby had the cheese steak which he said was tasty and very generous with the meat. Service was quick and friendly. Excited to have another lunch option nearby.”

“This is a good quick breakfast option if you're staying at the resort. Order at the counter and they bring it to your table. The meat sandwiches on bagel, english muffin or croissant are a good bet, and come with potatoes. My wife enjoyed her egg white omelete and fruit plate meals. The coffee drinks were enjoyed as well. The staff was all friendly and the food came out quick. See my photos and judge for yourself - it all tasted good to us! Recommended.”

“This store is rare to find anywhere!! I traveled here just to get the cinnamon rolls. They were closed!! 😫 I missed them by 10 mins. They were still cleaning up so I just took a picture to show my sister I at least made it there even though they were closed. John the manager saw me looking pitiful n defeated i assume standing outside lol! He unlocked & opened the door & said are u alright? I pleaded my case nicely that I came a long way to get 2 rolls for me & my sister! I'd be so grateful to have some if any were left. He said no we threw them all away. We both laughed! He opened the door & let me in. I was thrilled with excitement at my good fortune. Amazing store with fantastic smells of sweet goodies! Super yummy rolls too! John is a very special person & so kind to uplift my spirits by letting me in. I'll never forget that! Being kind means so much Thank You John! You made my whole day! I will definitely be back! Soon!

“Service was fantastic! They seated us right away. Our waitress was very understanding of my food allergies (even checking with the kitchen to be accurate) Food was superb. They did forget our appetizer, but wasn't needed after seeing the size of the entrees. Each staff member was helpful with each other and customers. Great team & great price for the location :D”

“What a nice surprise! We found New York Pizza and Pasta while exploring the retro Gatlinburg Mountain Mall where it's located. While I like pizza, I was more interested in trying something we don't have at home. Thank goodness my family was hungry and we stopped here. This is the best cheese bread I've ever tried in my life! The pizza was good too, and the restaurant is a cute place that fits right in with the retro vibe of the mall. I do wish they had free refills, but it seems to be the norm in the Gatlinburg area. Strongly recommend!”

However, we decided not to stay after spending $27 on a Bud Light and a Jack and Coke. I expected it to be a little bit more expensive on the Parkway, but I thought that was ridiculous.”

“Visited in August while spending some time in Gatlinburg. Pretty standard Mexican restaurant as far as the food goes, but the location gives it a little something extra. Being right in the heart of town with a view of the river flowing by makes for a neat dining experience. A nice place to stop for a meal while exploring Gatlinburg.”
