“I can not put into words the experience we just had at this restaurant. I have had unbelievable meals in the past, but this is #1 on my list. “We had dinner at Howard’s last night (8-13). We had a beautiful table over looking the water. Our waitress was great. I wish I had remembered her name but was she was from Romania. “Usually eat at Pancake Pantry and decided to try this. This blew Pancake Pantry out of the water! Best breakfast I have had. The pancakes are ridiculous. The waffle was on point and the savory food was amazing as well. We will be eating here moving forward.

“Conveniently located pizzeria with great tasting food and friendly service.

The pizza is exactly what you want after a long hike at the Smokey Mountains or shopping in downtown. The Caeser salad and chicken Alfredo was also great food options we ordered along with the pizza. Sodas were a bit pricey but the local beer was a great bargain for a restaurant at $4 a bottle.

The dining area is quaint and the fireplace adds to the relaxing environment. There is also outdoor seating if it suits. No outside heaters were seen.

Our server Angela was a gem. Friendly smile and always attentive to any requests we had.

Parking: Parking is super difficult to find. If you are staying in the area it is worth a walk if nearby.

“We had an amazing evening at Redoak Bistro. It was cozy and romantic offering a dining experience that was the perfect balance of elegance and comfort. The bistro is run by a delightful husband and wife duo whose hospitality is exceptional, and you can tell they pour their hearts into every aspect of the restaurant, making it a truly special place. The small plates menu was a standout—each dish was a beautiful homage to European flavors with great attention given to presentation and service. We had the smoked salmon bruschetta, the duck foie gras, the smoked oyster flatbread and enjoyed a bottle of Malbec, then ended with a delicious chocolate torte. Absolutely Amazing!! “Good prices and the food was fantastic. Portion sizes were good and the quality of food was great. We were on vacation from Indiana and the prices were slightly higher than our Mexican restaurants back home, but not bad. My only gripe on prices was a small cup of queso being $9.“

“The Tennessee Wine Trail experience was well worth the money. Tastings at 5 of TN’s best wineries and cideries and a T-shirt at the end. The ciders were fantastic and some of the wines had to be experienced to understand. Such as the Pumpkin pie wine, where each sip led you to another part of the pie, from crust to whipped cream. Definitely spend the money to try it out!“

“My husband and I went to Gatlinburg for our honeymoon in October. The Smoky Mountain Trout House was my favorite restaurant we went to while we were there for a week. We got the trout fritters for an appetizer and they were delicious! I’ve never had anything like them. I got the blackened trout. Delicious. Best trout I’ve ever had!“

“We were in the mall and could smell the pizza from one of the higher levels. I ordered a small, 10-inch cheese pizza to share with my partner. In all honesty, we should have gotten some slices, because it would have been around the same price, and I think the slices would have technically been bigger. We placed our order and I paid with a card, which incurred a 4% credit card surcharge. We waited about ten minutes for our pizza. When it came out, it was piping hot and tasted really good! I almost wish I had gotten a larger size. The flavor was great and the crust was perfectly crispy and thin. The only potential "red flag" I noticed was that when we visited, two children were working. The person who took our order was a child, then I noticed another one in the kitchen. I understand this is a family business, and the children were super respectful, but it was something unique about this pizza place that I had not noticed in other places I have been to. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience here and would recommend stopping in.“

“I had an amazing day at Anakeesta! It is whimsical, while still adrenaline pumping. My only complaint is food prices, and that just looking for something negative to give in this review. The mountain coasters are so much fun. The Astra Lumina is an immersive experience. The Ziplining was exhilarating. The Zipline Crew MADE the whole experience. Thank you Taylor, Jess, Chad, Connor, and Jynx (pardon any spelling errors). Taylor really helped me work through a fear of heights. Thank you all! I 10/10 recommend Anakeesta, especially on a Sunday in winter. There were little to no waits. You can also prepurchase tickets far in advance of your trip. If you have a fear of heights, I don't recommend the chair lift. Use one of the few Gondola cabins or take the provided shuttle to the top!“

“We visit Smoky Mountain Brewery frequently. It is one of our favorite places in Gatlinburg. The food is always great along with the service. We always eat in the bar because our favorite server is Oana from Romania. She always remembers what beer we drink and when she takes our order she never writes anything down which always amazes us. She is very attentive and always pleasant to talk to. One of the reasons we always enjoy our visits to the Brewery.“

“Our server was absolutely amazing, he made our entire experience wonderful. His name escapes me and I’m so angry about that! But he was the sweetest person. He had a beard and a slight accent but he always used “ma’am” and “sir” and said thank you and you’re welcome … such a sweetie. Our food was fabulous and it came out so fast. Impressive service for a super busy restaurant in a touristy area. I hope everyone can get this sweetheart of a waiter!“

“My wife and I were visiting out of town and decided to try the restaurant on February 14th, 2025. We knew it would be busy, as every restaurant was packed that day, and we anticipated a longer wait. While the food was good, I really wanted to share about the staff.

Even though it was a busy day and the restaurant seemed a bit understaffed, our waitress (Leslie), who was also the bartender, did an amazing job. She worked hard, and we really appreciate her efforts. Hannah, the hostess, who not only managed the long line but also helped clean tables. We also noticed the manager (Randy, I think that was his name, as the waitress told us) stepping in to clean tables and sweep the floors when he saw his staff was busy.

We know it was a stressful day for everyone, and we’re grateful for all the hard work the staff put in. We’ll definitely be back soon to say hello and enjoy another meal. Thank you to everyone who worked that night. Your dedication didn’t go unnoticed! You never know who’s watching!“
