“I have no idea why this place is rated so high. The views are great. You can see the river if you book a river veiw table. I even seen a racoon run by the window. The service was great. Everyone was on top of prebussing tables, keeping drinks full, and keeping bread on the table. They are very fast and don't have to ask. The salad bar was great. But I don't know if it's $19 great. There is alot of options on it. The ribeye cut table. I like you get to pick the size of your cut. But the steak is very tough! Their steak knives are barely sharp enough to cut through the tough steaks!!! They do NOT season the steaks in anyways. Wild rice is very bland. There is really no taste other then rice. Portable chicken. Was awful. Take a chicken breast cook it until dried out. Take a can of low sodium cream of mushroom soup heat it up in the microwave. Pour it over the chicken. Take 1 mushroom and slice it into 3 tiny piece. They have the best mountain dew on the planet. When we voiced to our waitress. She just said ok and walked off. If you don't listen and go. I would definitely recommend getting a reservation. Very disappointing for $100+ dollars for 2.“

“We had dinner at Howard’s last night (8-13). We had a beautiful table over looking the water. Our waitress was great. I wish I had remembered her name but was she was from Romania. We were a party of 4, 3 had the ribeye and 1 the filet. All were cooked perfectly. It was a nice way to celebrate my partners birthday! Thanks again for a nice evening!“

“It’s exactly what you’re paying for, a solid mountain steak. Very quick service, super friendly people. You can park anywhere around, there is plenty of room.

But the food, ridiculously good, if there weren’t 70000 restaurants in gatlinburg I would just eat here for breakfast lunch and dinner, and desert.

“We went tonight for my mom’s birthday and our Waitress, Jen, was absolutely AMAZING!!! She interacted with all of us so well and cut up and chatted with us and we never had to “want” for anything. She already got it haha the drinks were never empty and we never had to ask for sauce or Anything! And the food was perfect as usual. But her personality and hospitality was literally the best. she so deserves to be recognized! We loved her!“
