Everything was Great!!! I enjoyed the cinnamon twist, cinnamon donut, apple filled donut, glazed donut. There is so much more to pick to eat and freshed baked. Great for what you have a taste for. Great prices on each item. I will always stop there when I return to Gatlinburg.
I have visited the Donut Friar each time I have gone to Gatlinburg. While past experiences were always good, something seems to have changed. This visit was not good at all. The 4 donuts we purchased were nothing like the past. They were dried out and tasted old. The large coffee was cold and seemed to be what they had left over in a pot. It was very disappointing and on top of it all, I was overcharged for my order. The 4 donuts selected were $2.04 each, $0.69 for a cup of ice water, & $2.60 for a large coffee. Somehow, I was charged almost $15, so I walked back to tell them, but they had locked the door.
We heard good things about this place and we were not disappointed! The French crullers were delicious! Will definitely be going back when we get the chance!

The donuts were pretty good, but as a big family and never being here before no one knew what all they had and what to get, the worker made it feel very rushed and uncomfortable like we needed to hurry.

I went a little before 7. I had no problem finding free street parking on River Street (besides my GPS freaking out once I arrived to town). I didn't realize one can park on the main drag at that time of day, or else my trip would have been much quicker without a 5+ minutes walk each way.
