Mad Dog's Creamery & Donuts

Customer service is about as poor as it gets. Walk in the front door and say "hello, how you doing?" and the man behind the counter just sits there glaring at me. Afraid he may not have heard me I repeat "is your day going alright?" and he just squints his eyes and glares asking what I want. For the love of God, please don't work in a customer service oriented job in one of the biggest tourist areas in the country if you are afraid to talk to people.

Great donuts, coffee and service! 🍩 Will definitely be back the next time we’re in Gatlinburg.

Amazing apple fritter and donuts! Was very pleased with the quality of donuts and apple fritter. As well as how pleasant and helpful the staff are!

You couldn’t choose a better donut shop in Gatlinburg, these are truly some of the best i’ve ever had. The filled donuts are not skimped out on, they’re super filled and great! The man behind the counter was extremely kind and welcoming and went out of his way to dip another fruity pebbles donut for us (which are amazing). We visited here last trip and we knew we had to come back!

It’s such a wonderful feeling having fresh hot fritters but don’t sleep on that maple bacon or the cotton candy!

Walked in with my daughter for a coffee and donut. Walked out with coffee 2 dozen donuts and a snow cone! We walked in and the gentleman running the counter was super friendly and patient. It is a simple and classic style donut and ice cream shop providing a wonderful atmosphere. My daughter said she felt like she stepped back in time like maybe when I was a kid, I’m not that old yet. The donut were all better than the one we tried before and she said it was the best shaved ice she ever had. She liked that all the shaved ice had syrup on it and not just poured on top and down the middle and didn’t pool up at the bottom. She noticed that he layered the ice and syrup and that meant a lot to her! Definitely recommend and will most certainly return next time we are in town!

If you haven't eaten a donut 🍩 from here, you really haven't eaten a donut! Large and freshly made! Lots of options. Sorta seems to be a cross between a cake donut and a yeast donut. Not all are filled but the ones that are don't skimp on filling like some of the big box brands. Don't miss these guys!

First thing’s first, Steve was incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind. He made us feel at home.

We had the ice cream nachos with the Tennessee Fudge ice cream, a maple bacon donut, and a salted caramel coffee. All were super tasty.

If you’re in the area, give this place a try for your sweet treats. If you’re the owner/manager, give Steve a raise!
