The gentleman that did our tasting was extremely kind and funny, but my main concern is with the following of food safety protocols. At every tasting I’ve gone too after you finish your small cup it’s thrown out and replaced, that wasn’t the case. Normally that wouldn’t be a problem but the pour spout on the cider bottles would touch the cups that everyone has just drank from. As a food and beverage professional with several food safety certifications I find this quite gross. The next day my partner and started to feel sick, I don’t want to fully blame this establishment but I believe this is where I got sick.

Elaina made our visit to Old Mountain Wine Company in the Smokies an absolute blast. From the moment we walked in, she was fun, knowledgeable, and made wine tasting feel like hanging out with a friend who really knows their stuff. She explained the wines, kept the laughs coming, and somehow always knew exactly what we should try next. Top-tier vibes 🍷 And then there’s Tim... His grandmother’s cheesecakes recipes are next-level dangerous in the best way possible. Creamy, rich, and clearly made with love. Pairing wine with those cheesecakes should honestly be mandatory. You should definitely try all of them! Between Elaina’s amazing service and Tim’s unreal desserts, this place is a must-stop in the Smokies. We came for wine and left with happy hearts, full stomachs and new friends. We’ll definitely be back! 🐝🍰🍷🤠
We purchased the wine trail and out of all the locations this was the best experience and the best tasting wine and the server we had Frank was amazing he will be one of the reason I come back to enjoy more wine! What a great time and experience 10/10

This was our first visit as a large family, and it turned out to be the best wine-tasting experience of our entire trip. We visited many other wineries, but none compared to the experience we had with Frank. His charismatic personality made the tasting incredibly enjoyable, and he made us feel genuinely welcome despite the size of our group. We returned again during Christmas week—arguably the busiest time of the year—and brought an even larger group. Once again, Frank handled everything smoothly, greeting us with a big smile and remembering us from our previous visit. He was also very kid-friendly, as we had several young children with us. He included them and made sure they had a great time as well. The wines were terrific and delicious; we all took home several bottles and even returned once more the day before our trip ended. The winery itself has such a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. When visiting, be sure to ask for Frank—also known as “Pop Pop”!

Our experience with the Wine Trail and Old Mountain Winery was absolutely outstanding, largely thanks to Frank and his exceptional service. We first visited in October and had the pleasure of meeting Frank, who immediately made the experience smooth, welcoming, and enjoyable. Because of that great first visit, we returned again during Christmas week with a large group—and once again, Frank exceeded all expectations.
Managing a large party over multiple days can be challenging, but Frank handled everything effortlessly. He was quick to organize, incredibly patient, and never showed any frustration . His customer service was truly five-star, making sure everyone in our group felt taken care of and had a great experience.
We can’t recommend the Wine Trail and Old Mountain Winery enough, especially if you have the chance to work with Frank. His professionalism, efficiency, and friendly attitude made our visits memorable, and we’ll definitely be back again! 🍷

My boyfriend and I made a trip up to gatlinburg and doing this wine trail was definitely the highlight of our trip! All the staff are very knowledgeable and so friendly. After our tasting, we got a drink and sat by the fire out front. If you’re visiting gatlinburg this is a MUST!!! You will not be disappointed.
