Haven’t been here since my parents were refused a check they were owed after working. Is Darryl or whatever his name is still keeping cats in the freezer?
I’d be willing to change this review if things are different over there.
Would have loved to visit. Hours on site said open they were not.

My friends and I were staying in TN for just a few days and we had just visited Gatlinburg. We wanted to eat somewhere that was good but wasn’t over run by tourists. We decided to come here and WOW!! Roger, bartender/server extraordinaire made our trip amazing. We loved the vibes and the food was SO GOOD. 10/10 place. If we ever find ourselves up there again, we will definitely be going back. Thank you Roger for making our experience great. Highly recommend the Reuben sandwich, the Pineapple Ace Cider, and Roger.
GET THE RUBEN! AMAZING! cider and cabbage is great as well. Lovely people and great service.

This local mountain bar was a gem to visit. Long walk up some old wrap around steps brought us to some amazing views of the smokey mountains while we sipped on beers. The food was unique and all handmade. I recommend the Scottish egg. We had a great time playing cards and enjoying the bar atmosphere tucked into the Smokey Mountains. Give your visit plenty of time, the kitchen is small and everything is handmade, but in TN life is a little slower, take a moment and enjoy!
Vegetarian options: Pretzels, fried mushrooms
Dietary restrictions: No gluten free bread
Kid-friendliness: It's a bar, but they had games and large tables. They also had a kids menu, but it's the 3rd floor so be careful with kids running around outside.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible at all

Came here because of the good reviews...
One word, shambles!!
Sat for 20 minutes before we were acknowledged. We got drinks and placed an order and waited an hour only to find out our order had not made it to the kitchen. Paid and left in total astonishment!!
Also, Guinness was flat, so went with a canned Irish stout they had in the cooler. Left it on the table as it had expired in 2021...no thank you!!
Sorry guys, this was a bad experience!!
To be fair they had a tree fall on their establishment so half their kitchen was down. They couldn’t do fish and chips, chips of any kind so the choices were very limited. There was no air conditioning and it was summertime which was ok because it was not their fault but the server sweating profusely over my food made my shepherd’s pie less than appetizing. My husband asked for ketchup and was given the worst look like he just cursed the cook. Lol. My husband eats ketchup on everything. The atmosphere was really nice inside. The potential was definitely there and the nice fellow who talked to us about bees was extremely friendly. The noose hanging off the balcony was the tipping point for us and we have just decided to not go back. I know I will be told about the Scottish restaurant, McDonald’s, lol which is ok but I would hope for a more witty comeback. Or perhaps act like a respectable restaurant owner and understand that your place is just not for everyone and people have the right to not like your place. In all honesty I wouldn’t have left my very honest review of your place if you weren’t so ugly acting to people for merely leaving you a bad review. Have a blessed day

First off, the negative reviews? I don't get it. The food was fantastic. The service was great. The atmosphere was authentic. (I would assume cause I've never been to the UK) I will say, I love the fact that the owner isn't afraid to clap back at the negative Nancy's. The beer was also cold. To the owner, keep doing your thing man. I will definitely be back in the reviews to read you slamming the yuppies.

Service was a bit slow, the food was just fine, yet I was taken back by the nooses hung. Coming from the UK, I understand the symbolism that a noose has in the UK. I also understand the imagery created with a noose in the US south is much different.
This is similar to using a swastika during the middle ages in India vs using one now. Context is key, regardless of intentions.
