Straight up robbed us along with several other couples. Bailed on services, and wont respond to our calls or texts. Do NOT recommend. ZERO stars. Should be permanently closed.
we booked this con artist for an Oct 9, 2021 wedding. we paid for 94 people. charcuterie board, handmade tamales, chef prepared foods, sangrias, 2 servers, 2 bartenders, and her. We got, no charcuterie, frozen store bought tamales, store bought foods, uncle bens spanish rice. 2 bartenders. no servers, no chef, no sangria. we ran our of food leaving at least 35 guests with nothing.. Event was until 10:45pm. Bartenders left at 9:30, And they took utensils that belong to venue. Do NOT USE THIS Caterer! SHe will promise you the moon, take your money and NEVER SHOW UP!
We had a fantastic vacation in the Smokies in October 2021. Sarrah showed up at our house every evening and cooked an excellent 4-course dinner for 6. She completely rocked it every night with delicious food. I am so excited that we connected with her, and we will be calling her the next time we are in the Smokies to cook for us again. She is a delightful person. She took care of my family like an authentic professional, classy table service, and enjoyable conversation. Thank you, Sarrah - we appreciate you.
I contacted and contracted Sarrah to cater an event for me which consists of feeding 18 ladies. The first night the food arrived 3 hours late and some was even uncooked. The person who delivered the food and identified herself as the "sous chef" came into the vacation rental home we had without a mask, during a global pandemic, and did not have a hair net covering her hair which I thought when dealing with food in the hospitality industry, was standard practice. The food was consistently late and uncooked. Prior to the event, I made a spreadsheet for Sarrah which included allergies of people in attendance and the foods they preferred or did not eat. There was constant cross contamination, mixing turkey products with pork products in the same pan or sending out bananas and strawberries when I specifically advised her that there were people who had allergies to such foods. The ladies and I ended up going to the grocery store to purchase our own food to cook. We spent more time throwing the food away we received from Sarrah then eating anything that was brought out to us. She ALMOST ruined my event. I have attempted to reach out to her multiple times with no response and it seems that she has closed her business leaving people like myself no recourse or measure of resolution to the unsatisfactory and less than mediocre service she and her company provided. I would NEVER recommend The Happy Pinecone Cafe'.
Food was not delivered on time. Food was not season to taste. Flavor was bland.. Food was cold on delivery.
The food and service was horrible. The only reason I put 1 star is because it wouldn't let me leave no stars. The food was made with no love or care, we received food hours late, some of the food was not fully cooked, turning colors and they did not follow the list of allergic foods at all. We was suppose to have brunch, a snack and dinner catered to us from Friday to Monday morning. When we received our food we had to recook it, throw majority of it away and go buy our own food. Horrible, horrible service
I really wish that zero stars was an option. It was clear that Sarah the owner takes ZERO pride in her work. We had booked her to cater for an entire weekend for a wellness retreat. Everything about our experience was terrible. 5 out of the 6 meals were delivered over 2 hours late. Each one of the meals was progressively more disgusting, under cooked (except the burnt bacon) and completely tasteless. She was non-communicative. Offered zero compensation. Do not book with her.
I had a catering event scheduled and I read the posts on facebook and trip advisor and I became concerned. I called Sarah several times and each time the calls went straight to voicemail. That was a red flag for me instantly. I finally went on her website and saw that the business was permanently closed down. I called from another number and she answered, go figured. I asked her what was going on and she said that she needed to recalibrate. What does her recalibration has to do with me. I had to find another catering service, Bennett's BBQ, who is more than willing to accommodate us. I will NEVER Trust the Happy Pinecone cafe again! She damn near ruined our vacation
Actually I cannot even give in a one star. the worst catering business ever. Kater was supposed to be there at 3 it is now 545 no cater. Will not respond to calls or text. The one lady that is new to the company showed up and stirred the tea with her bare hands this is the worst experience ever do not use happy pine cone. Thankfully we called Bennett barbecue and they did an emergency catering for them thumbs up and 5 stars to Bennett. After we finally was able to contact her she gave us 2 different stories as to why.. all lies. DO NOT USE THIS CARERING LADY... SHE'LL RUIN YOUR SPECIAL DAY. Is a matter of fact after I gave her a review she shut down her Facebook page. Worst caterer ever!!!
We had a very unpleasant experience. The catering company showed up clearly hungover and not happy to be there. They we very rude and the food was under cooked. The meal we were served was made probably by 5 year olds. They clearly went to the grocery store before they showed up.I would of rather hired my dog to cook my meal than them. I hope they had a good Friday night because their appearance Saturday morning clearly showed that.Edit: I shot a 68 today.

I personally haven’t experienced dining in at the Happy Pinecone Cafe, so service and experience may differ from catered events. However, I personally wouldn’t recommend them for large catered events such as weddings.I was served by happy pinecone cafe at a catered event, and the staff showed up to the event an hour later than they were contracted to arrive. After arriving late the food wasn’t ready, and it needed to still be prepared. Somehow after cooking the food right in front of us it was still cold and not seasoned very well. While things happen that result in people being late, the response to the tardiness was frankly unacceptable. The customer was verbally berated on her wedding day and brought to tears. The customer service and food for the catered event were disappointing and unsatisfactory.
This company is so unprofessional and completely disrespectful. Not only was their food cold and unprepared for a wedding, they were also 3 hours late and the food was horrendous. I’m so disappointed and will share this negative review with everyone I know. Additionally, they claim to have been here for 4 hours but they were here no longer than 90 minutes, which included cooking all of the food. Highly advise avoiding this mess for all potential patrons, ESPECIALLY couples professing their eternal love for each other - they do NOT need the added stress from this “company”.Edit: Olive Garden pulled through with warm already made food, plenty of breadsticks, and most importantly arrived early. Shoutout Pigeon Forge Olive Garden ??
They were hired to cater my daughters wedding for a whole weekend for 70+pp (trying to support local business) they were late the first night, the next morning they were supposed to be there at 9 am to set up, (pre cooked food) they arrived at 1130 and had to cook food. The food they cooked was burnt and sloppy. They only brought half a bag of coffee for 70+pp and no filters or sugar/sweetener/ cream. didn't clean the dishes they used, just threw in the dishwasher. they were FIRED since they broke the contract more then once, then they had the nerve to drop off the food for dinner! we told them that we had hired another caterer for dinner (again) and they refused to leave and take the food away. I called to try to resolve the issue, Sara, the owner told me that they were already paid and too bad, there was nothing we could do. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!
