Taco Express - Goodletsville

Honestly I wish I could wait to eat my food long enough to take photos!! We drove past this place a lot but my hubby and I decided to give it a try. I’m from San Diego so I am such stickler when it comes to Mexican food. Since moving to Tennessee AND Goodlettsville- hands down closest to SD Mexican food! It’s so yummy! EVERYTHING! the machaca burrito (no cheese) is so good! My son LOVES the breakfast steak burrito and I constantly crave the 5 rolled tacos. The crunch is perfection. My son also liked the red birro tacos, and I’ve tried the fish taco a few times- amazing . The horchata drink is authentic and I can’t forget to mention the guacamole salsa. Ugh!!! Sooo good! They should think about selling that!! Salsas are all tasty and you can’t go wrong. Employees are super friendly, I’ve never had a bad experience, clean establishment and they just implemented a rewards program that my family for sure will find useful. Please give this place a try! You wont regret it!! :)

Parking: Plenty of parking spaces, never an issue.

Kid-friendliness: I bring my kids here and they do just fine. They have a high chair and a great kids menu!

Came here to eat food with my wife and son. The customer service was terrific they interacted with my little boy as he likes to stare they were making him smile. The birria tacos were to absolutely die for by far the best in town the indoor seating was very clean and well put together highly recommend been a long time since I've eatin somewhere where they bomb all scores across the board will be coming back very soon!

Decided to give it a first try. I ordered the red taco Birria special plate. The young man taking my order was very nice and helpful.
Sunday morning about 11am, I was the only one in there at the moment. I’ve had a lot of Mexican food but that was a first for Birria. It had an excellent flavor and came with a small cup of like soup with same similar flavor.
Was very good. I’ll go back.

Gave this place 3 tries before leaving a review. I will start by saying that the gentleman that took my order was helpful and friendly. The first time I came here they closed early and second time I came they didn’t have ground beef so I ordered the chicken nachos which ended up having a small rock in them. Yes a ROCK. Today I gave them another chance and thankfully they had all of their ingredients. I ordered four tacos. Was informed of what comes on the tacos only to get home and see that there is only meat , cheese, and huge pieces of onion on my tacos. None of the other ingredients were present. Very disappointed because I had high hopes for this place. They need to work on presentation and making sure they are getting people’s orders right !

I've been looking for a California burrito in the Nashville area for 10 years now and i finally found the one!
They call it the San Diego burrito and it is delicious!

My hubby has been here a couple of times and would bring food home. I decided to stop by and was impressed by the interior design; menu display and the welcomed customer service (I did not get his name). It was refreshing to see the transformation since the last ownership!
The fish and shrimp tacos were delicious along with the beautiful presentation.
It’s great to have a nice taco spot in the neighborhood!!!

I was sitting at work suddenly craving a breakfast burrito so I looked up the nearest restaurants that had them and headed over here to Taco Express. The guy at the counter was all smiles and very nice. Like I said, I was at work so I needed to get back pretty quick and I'm so glad I came here because not only was the breakfast burrito AMAZING but it only took them 5 minutes (at most) to bring it out. I will be back!!

I’ve been here twice so far, and I can’t wait to go back! Both times, I was impressed! My daughter and I ordered the red taco burria special, and it was excellent! Last night I tried a torta, again it was fantastic! You can customize it however you like. The ingredients are all very fresh and the service was great! I’m so happy my daughter spotted the sign for this: it’s a hidden gem!

Dietary restrictions: You can choose to build a bowl or salad if you’re trying to eat low carb.

Parking: Plenty of open parking spots

Kid-friendliness: Kid’s menu. Very casual atmosphere.
