I have been coming to this restaurant periodically since 2018 and it never occurred to me to leave a google review. Because this place is INCREDIBLE. It’s locally owned and built into the side of a hill, so yes, there’s concrete (read this in one review like it was a bad thing). But like ?? what are you expecting 😂 it’s a parking lot on the side of a hill?!
Anyways - lots of reviews about the wine here. It is SO good. Pairs so well with the authentic Italian style pizza.
Sweet wine is juice. You can buy it at Kroger if that’s what you’re after, but if you want a real authentic Italian cuisine experience (homemade crust made with imported Italian flour, wine made the traditional Italian way, etc), this is the place for you.
I’m still cracking up at all of these negative wine comments 😂 my pallet is far from refined but wine is not meant to be super sweet. All of these people mentioning the GA winery tells me all I need to know, as they sell syrup.
Staff, owner, food, drink, everything 10/10 truly. Unless you like syrup sweet wine or are afraid of a concrete parking lot 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

We went for Thanksgiving. I didn’t really expect a lot from the winery, but the food was actually wonderful. We had a great experience and bought several bottles of wine to take home as well. And the view is majestic. Luckily we were there at sunset.

Beautiful location, great pizza and our server was very knowledgeable. The wine is different from what I am used to, not sweet but enjoyed a tasting and learning about it.

We stopped here for a wine tasting and lunch during a vacation trip. Great food and service. The wines doesn’t disappoint either. Nice view from the deck. Owner/manager came out to check on us and make sure everything was good.

Visiting friends in GA, we crossed state lines to check out Chattanooga and made plans to visit this winery for lunch and a wine tasting. The pizza was very good and the view was nice, but all 12 of the wines we tasted were the worst we’ve EVER had. I actually thought maybe we were served wine that had turned, and in tiny plastic communion cups. The first waitress we had seemed annoyed that I asked for suggestions about which wines to try and didn’t seem to know much about them so she had to go get the owner to answer the basics. This is an honest review and I challenge the owners to respond with professionalism and self-reflection. When people read your dismissive and rude responses, it’s really poor showing on the business, not the reviewer. Went to Georgia winery instead and not only do they do 5 FREE samples per person, but the wine is SO good.

Chattanooga’s hidden gem! Ingredients for its pizza are mostly sourced from Italy making it a delicious wood fired pizza! Wine is also made in-house and with no added sulfites - you can taste how natural it is! We’ll definitely be back again!

We really enjoyed our experience here today, the ambience made us feel as if we were in Italy. The owner and the server were very kind and made sure we felt comfortable and were well informed with the menu. The pizza and wine were absolutely spectacular. Pizza had only the best imported ingredients and cooked to perfection with just the right amount of crunch in every bite. The wine was great, it reminded me of organic homemade wine I’ve had in the country side of France. Real organic wine always makes you happy in a unique way after you drink it and this wine did exactly that. We bought a couple bottles to go and will be back for more.

We had such a wonderful experience at Lookout Winery! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, and our server Heather truly went above and beyond to make our anniversary celebration feel extra special. She was warm, attentive, and made sure every detail was perfect for us.

The pizza was absolutely delicious—honestly some of the best I’ve had in a long time. On top of that, the views were breathtaking!

Thank you to Heather and the team at Lookout Winery for making our day so memorable. We’ll definitely be back.

My husband and I drove here from sewanee on our anniversary trip. To anyone thinking of going here….DONT DO IT!!!!! HORRIBLE wine. Like literally can’t even finish the communion cup flight of 6 wines. They all tasted like watered down bourbon. Both my husband and I agreed hands down the absolute worst wine we’ve ever tasted. I never leave reviews, but felt compelled to save other patrons time and money! The pizza was just OK, but my husband was sick from either the pizza or the wine for 2 days. Bottom line- don’t choose to go here!!!
I do want to say our server was very sweet. Picture a for proof I was there on 8/29/25, bc I see the owners respond to bad reviews by saying they are fake.

If you’re traveling along 24 just west of Chattanooga and you don’t stop at Lookout Winery & Venue, you’re missing out on one of the best hidden gems in Tennessee.

This place is the perfect combo of epic wood-fired pizza (seriously, the best I’ve ever had) and breathtaking views that make you want to stay all day. You can taste the passion in every bite — this isn’t just food, it’s an experience.

What makes it even better is Chuck, the no-nonsense owner living out the American dream. His energy, his straight-up approach, his dedication to quality and his love for his grandmother's recipes are what make this place feel so authentic and special.

If you want cookie-cutter corporate pizza, keep driving. But if you want flavor, atmosphere, and a memory you’ll be talking about for years, then this is the spot.

Lookout Winery is more than a restaurant — it’s a destination. 🍕🍷🌄

We have been a few times, the staff is always so friendly and attentive. Pizza is amazing. Views are beautiful. A nice, peaceful drive from downtown that is worth the adventure. Best of all, they are are pup friendly! (on leash) Incredibly thankful we found this spot. 😀
