Great place to stop and do a tasting.

Definitely worth the detour. Shannon is knowledgeable about all the product and made some great pairings suggestions which really elevated the tasting experience.

I had a dog and pack just coming off the Appalachian Trail. I had got a ride to this joint and let me tell what. This is very dog friendly heck they got dog there named River that loves to be pet and is very friendly with other dogs my dog honestly doesn't get along with other dog meet this one it was all good. Now, first entrance, they offered me 3 free samples of there shine they got some beautiful shine and tastful too. The management was extremely kind to me, seeing that I didn't have enough to pay excepted it all, and I was on my way. This is a very simple and special place for the drinker inside all of us ❤️.

Check this place out, the woman behind the counter was very friendly. They give you free samples. Their jalapeño and sugarcane moonshine are solid!

Second time visiting here. Just stopped in on our way home along I-40. They had amazing customer service both times. Went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of properly. Product is beyond impressive. The apple pie is delicious and spot on. Super friendly and welcoming family business that we will continue to recommend, especially after this last visit. Definitely recommend you stop by.

Moonshine was superb! The guy doing the tastings also gave us a tour of the facility since we were the only ones there. It was educational and fun! Try the jalapeño moonshine for the shine but then eat the peppers too! Small place off the beaten path but well worth the trip.

The drive there was beautiful, it is literally out in the middle of nowhere which I like. The lovely lady behind the counter was very super friendly we got talking and struck up a conversation while she was stamping my passport. I definitely want to go back again I recommend going for those that like to go off the beaten path it is well worth it. 🇺🇸

The moonshine at bootleggers is the best moonshine hands down. It tastes natural and has so many good flavors. Apple pie (by far the best apple pie), peach, lemon drop, etc. and their solid food items, like the dill pickles. Please ignore any negative reviews as if you try it here there is no way one would agree and the master distiller is friendly, easy to talk to, and extremely knowledgeable. 10/10 and the single best thing in the whiskey trail as well. Only thing is be aware as the inside smells like a distillery which isn’t a down side, just something to be aware of.

I've been coming here since it was a rinky dink little shack- but it's not rinky dink anymore, it's filled ita briches out, and may need to upsize in scale. Some good moonshine, with a special tribute whisky named Helene, with a percentage of proceeds goes to help locals. I love this place, free testing or pay a little for even more samples. Nice merch that I can actually see people wearing. I've come back here for years, and I will continue to come back for years more.

I’ve been going there every year for the last 6+ years. Great people and great drinks. Mr. Miller or as I know him coach miller from high school is a great man and doesn’t care to explain the process of what they do. I highly recommend going there and checking them out.

I am a Moonshiner hobbyist. Came through here doing the Tennessee Whiskey trail. When the lady was explaining about the different flavors I asked her what the grain bill was. She said it was %100 corn and sugar. I asked what they were using for the starch conversion of the corn and she said they didn't use any form of amylase or malted barley. This is fine, but let people know that you are making sugar shine. When they say they use corn as a grain bill they are misleading people into thinking they make corn liquor, when instead it is simple sugar shine. Nice looking place to hang out and eat or listen to music though.
