Not sure where the bad reviews are coming from, but my husband and I came here tonight and it was excellent! It was super warm, cozy and delicious! I had the Lasagna and it was so good! Definitely don’t skip out on the dessert— the Lemon Mascarpone and Cannoli were so good! We will definitely be back!
I really wanted to like this place and I’m not saying it’s terrible but first off there was only one server. You can’t give good service if you’re the only one waiting on tables. I did love the vibe and decor. The appetizer we wanted was not offered just because of the tomatoes not looking good. I would suggest just marking that off the list until it’s available to order. The Pepsi was flat and there was no offering to fix it. We ordered plain bread (which is usually included with meals but not here)and I had to ask the server for it because it was a very long time and we still did not have any. The salad is 1/4 of a size of a normal side salad. My meal with the steak was overcooked although it had a good flavor. The Alfredo sauce was very watered down and not flavorful. Very small portions! I do have to say the cannolis were wonderful and the espresso that we got to go with it was yummy. Unfortunately we will not be back because if I can say that Carrabba’s is better than an authentic Italian place then that’s pretty bad!
My wife and I have eaten here twice and we were not disappointed either time. The food and staff were phenomenal. Atmosphere charming and welcoming. Highly recommend!!
My wife and I decided to try Trattoria La Caverna. We like authentic Italian restaurants offering homemade items instead of larger chains. We live in West Gallatin, so Hendersonville is close. I had the homemade Nonna's lasagna with a homemade meatball, and my wife had the Cavatappi Cassie, a pasta dish with a white wine cream sauce. Each comes with a small side salad. I had the Caesar salad, and my wife had the balsamic salad. Everything was great! It's hard to find really good lasagna, in my opinion (my wife makes a great homemade lasagna, it's a lot of work). Many try, many fail. Not here! My wife's dish was very flavorful. The white sauce wasn't too heavy or too rich (you could add a protein for extra cost, we didn't). The entrees were a good size and very filling. We had no room for dessert. Maybe next time... we will be back!!! Great job, Chef. Thank you!
Appetizers overcooked/burnt. I got chicken parm and it was good, but very small portions. Coulda had 2 orders of it. Especially for the price. Way too expensive for what you get. Over $75 for 2 people. Waited around 45 minutes for food with hardly anyone in the restaurant. Pass.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. It is my favorite local spot here in Hendersonville. The staff is all so wonderful. Lyndsea, Mak, and Phoebe always take the best care of us every time we go. The food is spectacular (ask about the specials. They’re always amazing), the drinks are delicious, and the desserts will change your life. The owner is so sweet and you can definitely tell that she loves this place. Definitely give it a shot! You won’t be disappointed.

Everything was good but my bill was 217.13 and they charged my card 297.13 and it wasn't a tip because I left a cash tip and if it was a 25% tip it would have been 54 dollars not 80 and of course I told the waitress that I was going to pay with a card and that I would leave
the tip in cash and my receipt that they gave me is for 217,And a little fly that had the cocktail that they took from me, I really doubt I will return.

Looking for something off the beaten path, a place to call your own "hole in the wall" place? Look no further. This place was everything I could have ever wanted, without knowing it's what I wanted! I sat at the bar, and the service was quick and attentive, I was immediately sat by the owner herself, who welcomed me and was so happy to answer any questions I had! The bartender who served me made great recommendations and even blew me away with one of the best appetizers I've ever had!
The vibes of this place are spooky meets relaxation, a bit of quirky feels that make you feel right at home. Nothing pretentious, just great service, great drinks, and amazing food!
Don't let this place slip you by, try the Cavatappi Cassie!

Air doesn’t work, if you are looking for real good Italian food . Do you self a favor and don’t waste your time. I’m Italian and I have had the best at Bella Napoli in Nashville. This was disgusting.

Pros: The food is sooo good, and that’s what matters most, right? The Arancini, Pesto Tortellini, and Tirimisu were phenomenal, and I wish I’d have had room to order more. I liked how the menu had wine recommendations for each dish. I had been inclined to choose a different pairing but went with the suggestion. It was a good pairing. Not a wine drinker? The drinks menu is extensive! And the bar tenders know their stuff.
Con: When we visited, the bar tender also happened to be our server. She was fantastic, don’t get me wrong, but her double duty meant extra waiting. The way she juggled both jobs was impressive (give her a raise), but they were obviously understaffed. There was also a party going on at the same time at the back of the restaurant when we visited. This restaurant is small, which meant five tables plus the bar for non-party patrons. I hope they are able to find a larger space some time in the future because the food really is that good. Maybe take-out would be a better option until then?
