I'm amending my review of this place, so please read this...this previously was one of my favorite places in Hendersonville TN, my how times have changed. I went in and had a total of two drinks. The tab came out with a sub total of $10, but I charged two different taxes for a total of $2.43. for you non-math folks that's 24.3%. Tennessee State tax is 9.25%, which is entirely too much, but hey, you have to pay to play, right? So, the liquor tax is 15% (to keep us as sober as possible I would assume and nothing to do with layering any political pockets). Anyway, I digress...this place charged 24.3% in total FOR TAX, so I challenged the bartender as to why. She promptly (and correctly) went to speak to the manager on duty and asked him to explain the excessive tax directly to me. He refused to even come to speak with me...seriously? Conner, I believe was his name as I overheard. Regardless, they are overcharging and taking advantage of those who keep their bills paid. It wouldn't be fair to short the waitress to compensate for the overcharge, so a complete refraining from the establishment seems more in line to educate the owners of this infraction. Or, there are always legal avenues so they can compensate their patrons properly.

Ate there twice, first time I had Alfredo and the sauce tasted powdery. Wife had catfish which was over cooked. Second time we had shrimp which was way over cooked. Salad was good and hush puppies were good but the rest not great. I try to do reviews good or bad but this was not good.

The food was delicious and presented well. The menu had lots of unique choices. We ordered a side of fried okra as an appetizer. Sooooo good! We will probably order one for each next time. The beignets were the best I've been able to find around Nashville. We loved Kameron, our server! He answered our many questions and was so friendly.

My husband and I came here for Valentine's Day. We were not disappointed. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked through the door. Everything was clean. Our waiter was very friendly and helped us with any questions we had. Our food arrived in about 10 minutes, roughly. I got the Mahi and my husband got the Ribeye. Both meals were delicious, fresh, and hot. The cheese grits and okra were out of this world! We got our ticket, and were shocked how cheap the bill was. We would definitely recommend this place and we will be back!

So I have recently visited Cajun steamer on Indian Lake Boulevard now despite the fact that I've been there several other times I've always had good service while I'm sitting at the bar on the other hand there is one bartender that works there name Megan, who has threatened me on two different occasions, one about my alcohol usage the other the other was about my tip and that she could play dirty too. That's not how you treat your customers when your serving someone but on the other hand, I will continue to go there just not when she's working, because none of the other employees there do not have a problem with me and the same person has came at me questioning me about a post on Yelp that I have never put this is the first post that I've ever put about Cajun steamer in Hendersonville on Indian Lake Boulevard

Food is fantastic, best gumbo I've had this side of New Orleans. Absolutely love their grouper fingers too! Staff is very friendly and pleasant and service was excellent and food came out quickly. We love this place.

Our waitress was phenomenal. I wish I remembered her name, I'd call her out big time! The food was great. It was our 2 year anniversary and we spent it there. We didn't even need to mention that to staff for us to feel well taken care of. If you're looking for a great place to spend time with your significant other, I feel like this is the place to go.

We have been to this location numerous times. This evening will be the LAST. First, the food is just ok. Lastly, and what stands out the most, there were 4 people in the entire place around 830pm, of which we were two. We had met a couple from our hometown and were reminiscing on restaurants etc. The bartender came over and asked us to lower our voices as we were "obnoxious". Then proceeded to ask if we were okay to drive home. To note, we had only 2 drinks between us and dinner. Now, I understand every time that I drive by the Hendersonville location it appears empty. Even with 4 customers in the establishment on a Friday night, management and service is abysmal.

What I got tasted really good. Even the fried pickles and boudin balls were excellent. Would definitely eat here again.
