It’s a great little place in Indian Lakes. However, I have been there three times and the service is atrocious.

Not only does it take a while for someone to acknowledge you, they never come back and ask if you would like another drink or if there’s anything else they can get you.

They would be better off to leave it an open space at the bar and have people walk up and order their own drinks.

Edit used to be a great bar, city-quality cocktails and service in the suburbs. I stopped by tonight with some friends after an event and I don’t think I’ll ever go back. I tried to order a daiquiri, a classic cocktail that any upscale cocktail bar should know to make, and the server said they didn’t have a daiquiri machine. A daiquiri, for the record, is rum, lime, and simple syrup shaken together, no machine required. It’s very basic. Any upscale cocktail bar should be able to make that, especially if it’s on the menu (which it was). But they straight up told me and another customer no. A friend ordered a martini and it tasted like it was half olive juice and half gin, truly awful. The waiter was rude and rushed us along the whole night. One friend who wasn’t drinking ordered a club soda and it never showed up. They close, ostensibly, at 1 AM but the wait staff started rushing us out around 11:50. Awful service, awful knowledge of basic cocktails, even the signature cocktails that I’ve had before like the brown butter banana old fashioned were not good. I can’t imagine ever going back after the experience we had tonight. If you have bad service and you can’t make the most basic of cocktails, what are you even doing as a cocktail bar?

Three of us enjoyed lunch at Edit today. The burger was just delicious! The bowl was a great mixture of foods that tasted wonderful together. We will be back!! Try this place, Hendersonville diners! You won’t be sorry!

$20 for some extremely dry brisket tacos. Only 2 and they are small. You’re way better off paying $2 per street taco at any taco truck.

My husband and I come here almost every week, it’s one of our favorite spots! The cocktails are amazing and truly craft, so they take a little longer to make (for the bad reviews about having to wait), but totally worth the wait. You can tell a lot of care goes into every drink. The small plates are always fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. The staff is friendly and attentive every time we visit. Definitely a go to spot for great drinks and good vibes!

We recently celebrated at Edit Restaurant at the Streets of Indian Lake in Hendersonville, TN, and it could not have been more perfect. The atmosphere was ideal for our special occasion, and the team made everything seamless from start to finish.

A huge thank you to Matt and Savannah for their outstanding service and top-of-the-line drinks, to Ryan for the incredible food that everyone loved, and especially to Aleia, who guided us every step of the way with such care and professionalism.

This is truly the perfect place for any type of celebration or event. What made it most special was having complete confidence that everything would turn out amazing—and it absolutely did. We are so grateful to the team at Edit for making our celebration unforgettable.

I’m here right now. I’m having a blast! The staff is the best part and I can’t wait to come back!

I’m a bar fly. I enjoy people watching and can learn a lot from it. I frequent Edit for the cocktails, people watching and small bites however, the recent staff needs a re-do! (Again- as I see new faces every time I com!) Obviously poor management. Staff is rude to each other and to guests. I have seen the manager act the same way. I’ve witnessed several times employees talking down towards or about other employees. She would join in. Not cool. Should be diffusing that! Female bartender has her hair everywhere and acts like she’s on drugs. Not friendly AT ALL. They also tend to ignore table customers. Maybe because they’re understaffed? Not sure, but Just seems like they’re “too chill” at times. It’s also gotten messier over time. The counters are always sticky and/or wet. The menus are dirty. The silverware is too. Thankfully I use my hands. I go to lots of bars and see lots of things. This is one of the only places where I’ve noticed a huge decline in customer service and friendliness. Perhaps this is why the turnover rate is SO high?? I hope the owner does some serious digging into why he can’t keep good staff and does a clean sweep so the only decent cocktail bar in HV can thrive! I keep
Coming back because the drinks are that good! Cheers!

Ryan made my Salmon Tacos. So damn good I had to shake his hand and ask his name. The drinks are killer, and the flavor is off the charts on all levels. This place is a must try.

My husband and I have been here twice now. We were surprised by how good the food was. The cocktails were great too. My biggest issue is that there were 2 servers that had our table, but neither seemed that interested in attending to us. I even went up to order a flight of the wine at the bar because no one came to our table. The server brought out the white wine flight. I guess he mistakenly hear me say “flight” and thought I said “white.” Regardless I apologized and the server did not seem pleased. The place has a great ambiance and food but I really hate to go to a place and feel that I’m inconveniencing them by trying to spend my money and tipping well.

My friend and I ate on the earlier side of a Thursday evening. The atmosphere was very quiet and relaxed which we appreciated. Our server was very attentive but as the restaurant got busier we could tell he was being stretched thin as it seemed he was also bartending and only one of what looked like two servers for the whole establishment. We sat for close to 30 minutes just trying to get our check taken care of. The charcuterie was fantastic and something I would get again if I came back. The top round buns were just ok, as were the carrots. I wouldn't get either again not because they were terrible but just underwhelming. The prices were really reasonable especially to split plates between you and a friend. We had a good time and enjoyed the experience, but would try other menu items next time and really think one more server could have helped service move faster.

I was there having dinner with a close friend on 5/28/25. It said on the website they closed at 10:00pm. At 9:30 they turned up the lights, and started playing heavy metal music loudly and sporadically. Turning it up, then turning it down, and blasting it. Like they wanted to interrupt conversation by the patrons that were still there. Then when the bartender came over to our table she said “can I get your dishes”, we said “sure”. My friend asked for water, and the worker said rudely, “we are closed”, turned and walked off. Extremely unprofessional.

Edit has been a favorite since the beginning—effortlessly stylish, well-curated, and distinct. A perfect spot to round out date night, offering craft cocktails and a tapas-style menu designed for unwinding without the formality of a full dinner. A thoughtful addition to the local scene.

Change is inevitable, but this shift feels like a misstep. Expanding to a full dinner menu—steak, salmon, and more—has altered the essence of Edit. Without a full kitchen, substantial dishes are now prepared behind the bar, and the lack of ventilation causes smoke to linger, clinging to clothes and irritating eyes. What was once a refined retreat now feels unfocused, with longer wait times and a diminished ability to truly relax.

Through it all, the staff remains the heart of Edit—gracious, hardworking, and consistently excellent. They are doing their best, but the shift has stretched the service thin, making it harder to maintain the intimacy we once cherished.

Edit was special because it embraced its identity: a cocktail lounge with elevated small plates, offering something distinct from Hendersonville’s full-service restaurants. That uniqueness was its strength, and we hope the team sees the value in what made Edit shine.

Hopefully, this is temporary—perhaps just an experiment? What Edit had before worked beautifully. This new direction feels like a detour from what made Edit remarkable.

EDIT used to be my self-proclaimed favorite restaurant in Hendersonville. I had been going here about once a month for years. Loved the tiki vibes, rum cocktails, and unique tapas.

Recently they have gotten rid of everything that I adored and loved about the place. They no longer serve the fun small plates, they got rid of ANY rum tiki inspired drinks, and they have replaced it all with a extremely limited, boring, and overpriced menu.

If this is the way things are here from now on, i'm out.
