My partner and I have been to just about every Taqueria in the neighboring area and this one had us hooked in just about every aspect. The incredibly friendly service, authentic food, and a great selection of Tequila. The kids love it (they hated the tequila though).Kid-friendliness: A fun chalkboard wall for all to sign.

El trompo is a fantastic and delicious restaurant. The food is incredible all across the menu—the street tacos, the Gorditas, the burritos, and their breakfast. They have delicious drinks, lovely people working there as well. It is truly a standout place and one of the only Mexican restaurants I go to around here. I live a bit far away and it’s worth the drive every time. 10/10

Wanted to try this place because china wok was closed . I ordered a basic entree from the menu, grilled chicken breast with fillers (rice/beans etc.) . My total was 22$ and some change , and what I received is less than a half of a box of food . I even made it a point to ask the man at the register what makes this so expensive , as I was not expecting to pay over 20$ and I was told word for word that it is ‘Alot of food’ …….This is maybe 10$ worth of food when considering the restaurants in the immediate vicinity of this place, and when considering the quality of this food. If you’re looking for good food without spending an arm and a leg , DONT look here . This is okay food for a rip off price .
Had a delicious lunch here today. The service was great and the restaurant is comfortable.If you like authentic Mexican fare and reasonable prices this place is great. We enjoyed enchiladas, tacos, guacamole and chips, and the California burrito. I particularly enjoyed the guacamole and the sauces. I opted for the regular and hot.

So far the best Mexican place I have been to in Tennessee. Authentic flavors. I had the Gordita and I could tell the corn tortilla was not store bought. The carne asada was perfectly cooked and seasoned correctly. They used the perfect amounts of cilantro and red onion. The salsa was perfect for this style of Mexican food. Next time I won't get sour cream on anything. It was my fault for ordering it with everything. Glad to finally have a go-to for Mexican food!

Food is decent. However the pricing is absolutely ridiculous for the area and quality of food. Chips and salsa are not included with meal and last night they were extremely over cooked. I paid for my 8.99 margarita (which was probably 6 ounces) and went to Ranchos down the street. I truly tried to support this place. I’ve eaten there probably 5 times but every time I feel like I have over paid for what was served!
