Fun atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff was lovely! It is very open with numerous tables to accommodate large parties. Loved my food! I ordered vegetable yakisoba, crab Rangoon and pan seared dumplings. Delicious! It was pretty empty when I went, so I’d like them to get more customers for lunch hours. Service was fas and food was fresh! Definitely coming back.

It was mediocre. I got edamame and spring rolls. The salt on the edamame was too large and if you got a flake it overpowered them. The spring rolls were not flavorful without the sauce. Others at my table got chicken yakisoba and crab yakisoba along with 2 sushi selections. The chicken was not a good quality cut but the noodles were okay. The shrimp sushi roll was the best dish. The price point was similar to other hibachi spots with better quality food. The service was extremely good but unfortunately the food did not match.

I’ve been eating at their original location for years, so I’m giving 2 stars pretty begrudgingly. Their prices are MUCH higher in Hendersonville and they charge more than the price on the online menu. Additionally, they allow no substitutions whatsoever (we wanted noodles instead of rice) without ridiculous upcharges and charged $3.75 to add THREE mushrooms to my dinner. I ordered a hibachi meal that ended up totaling up to $26 for a single entree that was advertised for $14. Ridiculous.

The food was amazing!!!! I had a steak and shrimp combo 😋 it was cooked fast and was very flavorful. Plus, the waiter/ waitresses were very nice and attentive. I will definitely come back to enjoy my lunch and tell others about Hibachi Jr.

Ill start by saying, I'm half Asian and I grew up on oriental food and hibachi restaurants. The custom service was very fast and friendly.
The food was just plain not good. The crab Rangoon was decent. My wife and I would eat it again. The rice that comes with the hibachi meals tasted like they browned butter up in a pan, put the rice in for a few mins and served it. There was zero flavor in the rice. No soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, Sesame oil, salt, pepper, nothing, there wasn't even egg in the rice. There is always egg in hibachi rice. The shrimp was ok, I wouldn't eat it again but it wasn't terrible. My wife got the teriyaki chicken hibachi. The chicken had a weird taste and was very gummy/chewy. She couldn't eat more then 4 pieces of it. I tried one and was not a fan that all. Her rice was the same way as mine. We both asked for no vegetables because we don't eat a lot of vegetables. My wife did ask for broccoli, she said it was good. Even replacing all of the other vegetables with just broccoli, they charged $2. That was steep for a few pieces of broccoli and that replaced all of the other vegetables. That was fine though, not a big deal.
Neither of us like adding a lot of sauces to our food because we're not big on condiments, but we both tried to add the entire dish of yum yum sauce to our rice to give it some type of flavor but it didn't help at all.
My wife ended up leaving nearly an entire plate of food and I left most of my rice. I ate the shrimp because it was good enough to eat once.
The entire meal was $40 for subpar food. Way over priced for the food quality.
The staff friendly, but we won't be returning.

OMG!!! Food made to order and super fast!!! The food was sooooo so good we spoke, not a single word after the first bite... I can only conclude that this type of yummy goodness can't be legal in any state or country.... My soft palette has experienced heaven, and my taste buds went into a season of nostpo volcanic like eruptions... My Lord God was it all unbelievably DELICIOUS!!! Our Waiter was Billy Hadley and OMG he did us like royalty... DEFINITELY COMING BACK!!! THIS IS A MUST COME!!!
