EDIT: I was wrong on which dish this was. So it was the Sweet & Sour Chicken, not General Tso. SO I don't reccommend the Sweet & Sour Chicken- it was TERRIBLE. Little doughy bite of breading with a small amount of chicken. While the other dishes were fine, I was super disappointed in this one.

So. The food came out fast. That shoulda been my first warning. The rice smells…odd. Gross odd. The bourbon chicken, the sauce is good. The chicken is overcooked. Consistency is like it was hard frozen then cooked in the pan.

The best Hunan chicken around. Super clean good family owned business. Help support them they work hard to serve great food and good service.

Bad tasting fried rice included to fill most of the container and very little of the main dish. Weird tasting congealed egg drop soup.

Just serving us anything, this is what I imagine a frozen Chinese food TV dinner would be. In fact I’m not even going to dishonor the Chinese by calling it Chinese food.

The rice has tasted soapy the past few times we’ve gotten food. Google search says a soapy taste means the rice cooker isn’t cleaned adequately. We won’t be ordering again.

Great food. Not once in 8 years had an issue. Quick turn online order. Go to Chinese in Hendersonville.

Friendly and fast. Good flavor. The server apologized for the wait, and I didn’t even think the wait was long.

I’m a General Tso kinda gal. It’s not like other Asian foods that if you’ve tasted one at one place you’ve tasted them all. This restaurant’s General Tso surprised me in a good way. I ate inside and heard people came in to pick up their General Tso to go. That explained how my meal came out so fast, because it’s a popular item at the restaurant. It was the perfect blend of sweet and very slightly hot served with enough sauce to dip each bite. The woman behind the counter wasn’t rude but she wasn’t welcoming either. The place was clean and well stocked with condiments, (cheep cheep) plastic eating utensils and napkins at each table. I stopped on spur of the moment and overall glad I did. Thumbs up!
Terrible flavor on both meals we had. The fried rice wasTERRIBLE!
The vegetables were ok but had a weird flavor. Crab Rangoon was decent but to hard on the edges.
Needless to say we won't go back.
China cottage is the best in hendersonville.
My go to Chinese restaurant. I love that it’s family owned. Not had a bad meal yet.
The quality of the food has decreased. Please add utensils with to-go orders.
Don’t order to eat in the restaurant they look like they don’t want to clean up or serve you. They just serve you cafeteria school room tray style. Fried rice was not good. The chicken however was very decent. Overall good in a pinch but not cheap nor the best Chinese I’ve had in a long shot.
