Moore’s has been a Hendersonville staple for years and the food quality and standard has never dropped!
The flavor & spice is unbeatable! I got the whiting fish and my boyfriend got the hand-cut tenders, we enjoyed every bite and don’t get me started on the seasoned fries!!
We will support this small business over any chain any day of the week!
Our go to for hot chicken in our area!
Best around!!!!
Fantastic hot chicken and fried okra.
Old school chicken spot with no frills.
Absolutely love this place. The chicken is so good and crispy. The fired okra is amazing as well. Mr, Moore is so easy going and kind. What a great host. I will, most certainly, come back.
Step into this clean, welcoming small business and get ready for some truly authentic down-home cooking. The fried chicken is light, crispy, and cooked just the way you like it—whether you want it mild or with a spicy kick. This was our first visit, and Mr. Moore was a fantastic host—warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The chicken and fried okra were incredible—some of the best I’ve had since moving here a few years ago. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Mr. Moore—we truly enjoyed our meal!
Im visiting Nashville from Baltimore and when looking up the best Nashville hot chicken, I was pointed in this direction. The general consensus I saw from locals is that the places downtown are good, but overpriced and over hyped. I'm glad I stopped into Moore's. There are no frills here - just good food at reasonable prices, and pleasant conversation with Mr. Moore.
I got the breast quarter and the Mrs. got the butterfly shrimp - both with medium spice and it was all excellent. Cole slaw was also legit.
I can't compare this to anything else in the area but the next time I visit Nashville, I will 100% make time to visit Moore's again.
I think I ate here with fam when it was barbeque back in 2019, business looks exactly the same. If im wrong ill remove comment but it was damn good and these spicy chicken pics make me think I need to go back to try chicken now. Last time we got some cotton candy faygo to wash it down.
Best hot chicken in Nashville and I don’t say that lightly! Sides are great as well! Go or order early because David don’t mess around!
Delicious spicy chicken I love it!! His owner is very kind💝

THIS IS WHY YOU SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS, PEOPLE.
You know how fast food chains are getting more and more expensive while simultaneously degrading in quality? Three tenders at Popeyes will cost you $9.29 (plus tax), and they're on par with your high school cafeteria.
Three tenders at Moore's will cost you $5.50 (plus tax) and they're HANDCRAFTED GOLD. It's the juiciest, most flavorful chicken I've ever tried.
Go eat there. Leave a fat tip. Tell your friends.
Really excellent hot chicken! We got a leg & butterfly shrimp, which came with hush puppies. Both were delicious! We opted for hot, which was plenty spicy & we like spicy food. Fried okra & coleslaw were also fantastic. Highly recommended!!!
This is singlehandedly the best chicken I have ever had. Chicken is cooked when ordered, and comes out juicy and spicy. Food comes pretty fast, and never fails to impress. fried okra is the bomb, with a very impressive portion, and the tea is solid.
I've tried the Medium, Xhot XXhot, and the XXXhot, the spice levels are great, and the XXX is still definitely edible. I appreciate that the chicken goes easy on the stomach, unlike a lot of other spicy fried chicken I've had.
The owner is only person who works the shop as far as I know, and I'm absolutely cool with that because he knows what he's doing and does it with manners, albeit, a tad no-nonsense.
TLDR, Prices are good, chicken is incredible, spice is great, and Mr. Moore is a great guy who knows what he is doing.
PS, if you are in a rush, call ahead. food doesn't take a long time to be made, but if someone is in front of you it might take longer.
Moore’s is the best!
Glad I stopped by. The chicken and the sides were top notch.
