“I moved here 2 years ago and this was the first place I stop for dinner and since the first day they treated me like a local. The bartender asked me : You are not from here don’t you? And I said, No, I just moved with my family, and from there she started suggesting what to get from the menu, put me up to date with the area, and not only she introduced me to some of their regular customers she even recommended other restaurants, schools and even a good church. The staff has always been nice, but yes sometimes they are a little busy, what is understandable. Coming from FL I had to wait at least 45 min minimum just to get a table. In some occasions the owner has stopped by my table to say hi and to ask about how the service was going and once he even give me and my cousin to try for free the loaded nachos before they put them in the menu. In my opinion, not only the food has been great, (and I have tried most of the menu), but the staff has been extremely helpful and nice taking in consideration that I was new in the area. So for me this has been a great place so far, service is great, food is good and they try to at least make a personal connection with you which most of the places don’t even care. NYPD is a great place and Im happy we have it here in town.“

“My son and I just moved to the area and were headed to a hiking trail for Mother’s Day. On our way we decided to stop here rather than just get fast food. I’m so glad we did. Everyone here is so friendly, the food is incredible, the view is amazing. Our server (I can’t exactly remember if it’s Macy or Maizie) was phenomenal. Will be a regular lunch spot for us.“

“Pax is our go-to hangout bar. Josh is a wonderful bartender. The beer selection is varied and high-quality. My husband samples the IPAs.

I’m into the mocktails, particularly the Angelina. I get two in my mug because we are members of the mug club.

Everyone at Pax is super friendly and welcoming. People do clothing swaps there.

A fun evening is hanging out at Pax and picking up a pizza at Southside and eating it at Pax.“
