Choo choo BBQ is a good spot to stop when in a hurry or to take a break from the speed of life. When you want something tasty but without the hefty price tag, pull in or hit the drive through. The pulled pork is a favorite go-to, just be sure to get slaw directly on the sandwich. Their killer baked potatoes are also delicious! If you can handle some heat try everything with spicy barbecue sauce! It's one of a kind!
Parking: Easy to pull in and pull out and the driveway circles the building.
The food quality is declining. Twice in the past 6-months, we've waited over 30 minutes in their drive-through. Today - waited 15 minutes behind one other car, only to be told, 'sorry, we're not taking any more drive through orders today because we have a lot of new people working'. How does this place stay in business doing this?

The best BBQ in the Hixson area. Great food and great service.
Self service restaurant, drive thru traffic blocks the parking lot. We had the pork stuffed potato, pork sandwich and bbq beans out of a can. The worst bbq we’ve ever had. The meat was huge chunks that you could barely eat. The potato was a half of a potato with a lot of grated cheese. Maybe a 1/4 cup or less of bbq on the potato and a tbs of sour cream. Very poor quality food. And the tables, where do I begin…too big for the booths although they appeared to be hand crafted were beautiful at one time but whatever they’re cleaned with reacted with the stain and they’re extremely sticky. $25 waisted.

Was in the area for work. Looked like a decent bbq stop, looks can be deceiving. We arrived right after opening at 11am. My son and I had brisket and ribs. Both were quite disappointing. Brisket was reheated from the previous day I suspect, very dry, and not much flavor. The ribs were a huge mistake. I would guess they were boiled and baked, but again most likely from the previous day. They actually were cold in the center. Absolutely no smoke ring and appeared gray. Could even cut them. On the bright side the coleslaw was decent. Also had the fried potatoes and onion which seemed strange for bbq but were pretty good. However $58 for two meals seemed a bit high, especially given the quality. Been in Tennessee for 3 years now and still looking for good bbq.
Ordered a BBQ pork sandwich with a side of green beans. The pork was delicious and was a generous portion. Ordered at the drive through window, and it was my first time eating at any Choo Choo BBQ. The BBQ was light on the sauce & no additional sauce was provided. Also no napkins or fork for the green beans. Next time I'm going to ask!
