We went around 2pm Sunday and it was no waiting for a table the service was very fast and friendly. Wife had Steak Fajitas and I had the Hawaiian Burrito. Both were excellent. First time there and we would recomend it for good Mexican food.

El Jinete is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Chattanooga at the moment for good reason! The service is efficient and so genuinely kind. My husband and I visit a few times every month. The food has been very delicious each time.

Decided to try El Jinete on a whim this evening and oh what a whim! I ordered a shrimp chimichanga meal and was absolutely blown away by the flavor of the food. The chimichanga meal was delicious and while I ordered my food to go, I noticed that the place is a whole vibe. The staff was courteous and attentive, the restaurant was clean and the food was out within minutes. It is definitely my new go-to for Mexican food.

We are so happy to have discovered El Jinete. We were in town waiting on my phone to get fixed and chose this place and it was very clean, from the bathrooms & floors to the tables and the staff! Tacho V served us and was on point with handling his responsibilities. We had the Birria tacos and the Birria Plate and as a huge fan of Birria tacos, I haven’t found a place that checked any of my boxes..until now! So much flavor and generous portions! We will be returning and recommending El Jinete!

My partner and I absolutely love this restaurant. The atmosphere is bright, colorful, and clean. The staff are all incredibly friendly and attentive. Both of us have tried different dishes and everything so far has been delicious. It's one of our favorite places.

Such an extensive menu! And their birria is to die for!!
Service was good. Drink prices too high. Food was bland. Needs a chef/cook that knows how to season food. Especially Mexican food. Chips seemed to be out of a bag instead of prepared fresh. Charged $1.49 for hot sauce that had a hair in it. Decor is beautiful but need to do better with the food.

Nice spot for an affordable, decent family meal. Service was attentive and friendly. Two things holding this place back from excellence: (1) tortillas are not made fresh, (2) the lighting is very bright and harsh, more like a doctor's office than a restaurant - this is common in restaurants these days but it's very uncomfortable and ugly - just remove some of those bulbs or replace them and I think the experience would be much better. Glad to have this place though, we will be back.
