I never write reviews, but I am so enamored by El Jinete that I’m making an exception! I highly recommend this restaurant, which is in the old O’Charley’s on Hixson Pike. I might not call it authentic Mexican food, per se, but the quality is amazing! Their health department cleanliness scores were 100, the AC was rocking, and the staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing.
I am a margarita snob, and theirs are very good. My husband is a tough audience, but...

Great experience and wonderful location for our family dinner.
Kid-friendliness: We had a messy 19 mth old in our party who dropped as much rice as he ate, and although his parents did clean up and sweep after he ate, the staff was very gracious and unconcerned with his lack of self-feeding skills.

First time dining here and the atmosphere was nice, very clean restaurant, and friendly staff. There are lots of different plates to choose from and have a distinct vegetarian section which was nice. The food came out quick and hot, 10/10 will go again!
