I just had the Philly Egg Rolls and Sweet potato waffle fries and both were absolutely delicious. This place is a great little restaurant that gets it right. If you want amazing food with great service hands down this is the place to come, you won't be disappointed.
P.S. The sweet potato fries are amazing with the homemade honey mustard dipping sauce. Sounds crazy I know, but you have to try it. Definitely will be coming back.

Wow! Great little hidden gem. Food was fantastic and the employees are fantastic too. Teriyaki Chicken Philly is my go to, but everything there is great.

Alley Kat in Piney Flats is an absolute hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was top-notch — friendly, attentive, and welcoming.

The food? Out of this world! I had the chicken teriyaki, and the bun was so soft and fresh, with just the right amount of meat — perfectly balanced and packed with flavor. The waffle fries with cheese, buffalo sauce, and ranch are hands-down my personal favorite… crunchy, cheesy, spicy, and creamy all in one bite. The new nachos were also a huge hit — piled high, super flavorful, and even the chips were made fresh, which made all the difference.

The owner went above and beyond by letting us try the cheese curds with caramel sauce. I’ll admit, I was skeptical at first, but WOW — the sweet and salty combo was unexpectedly delicious and definitely a must-try!

Between the incredible food, the fresh flavors, and the amazing staff, Alley Kat is officially one of my favorite spots to eat. If you’re in Piney Flats, do yourself a favor and stop in — you won’t regret it!

I just finished eating their Philly and fries for the first time. I ordered it on a whim, hungry while sitting around at work. I expected an ok Philly that would have hard bread and stringy meat. I mean, that’s just par for the course in NE TN.

Admittedly , I am spoiled. I have had the best Phillies in Philadelphia, both cheese whiz and provolone. I’ve had them from John’s, Dallasandro, Pats, Genos, etc. I’m a fanatic.

The philly from Alley Kay is the best I have had in a decade. It is on par with what you would find in Philadelphia and is better than the popular tourist trap spots.

The bread is SOFT, the cheese is melted, you have a choice of provolone or whiz or BOTH. People underestimate how bad bread can ruin a steak, you won’t have to worry about that here.

The meat they used is perfect for a cheesesteak, not too stringy and not so tender you forget you’re eating a sandwich. They give you just enough so you don’t feel like you’re going to die after you eat it.

I cannot say enough good about this place. I would put any amount of money on this being the absolute best Philly you can get in our area and the region overall.

The fries were great too.

Ate there the first time and the last time. Food was under pare. Drinks in a bottle was $3.50. Food was not worth the $47.82 we paid for two people. I now know why it's closed.

Omg!!! This place was soooooo good!! After some taste testing at a near by distillery, we needed something to soak it all up. This was definitely what we needed! The Philly was absolutely delicious. Definitely didn't skimp on the cheese whiz which is my fav part of a Philly (I know I know) the bread was fresh and soft which is great. Seasoned waffle fries were really good with again, plenty of whiz as well!!! Would definitely be back if in the area ever again!

Great cheese steak, best wings I've found in the Tri (naked and double fried), awesome fries and great service. It is a bit pricey. If it was better priced I'd probably be there more often.

First time eating here and loved the food and service! I made my second visit back today a week later and brought friends.

Food: 5 stars - I got the Philly, and the first bite was a taste bud explosion with flavor.

Service: 5 stars - Extremely friendly and make you feel welcome.

Atmosphere: 3.5- counter service and drink choices are out of a bottle cooler (as opposed to table service but food is brought to the table after ordering), and a more casual, contemporary style and decor, no music very quite(there is a TV)

Overall, it's a great place to eat. I will continue to come back it's definitely worth it, and I highly recommend it!

Not sure where to start. The food was good. Not cheap though. Not like the truck used to be a few years ago, but that’s understandable. The Philly was not filled nearly as much as they used to, even smaller than before, and the prices have risen much more than before as well. But my sandwich was good regardless. The fries were very good but I did ask for no ranch on my buffalo fries and they came with ranch anyways. I am extremely picky to the point I will get sick if I try to eat something I don’t like but I did push through and eat these not to cause a fuss. My child’s chicken Philly was cold and unappetizing. She did not touch it and I tried to take a bite and almost spit it out immediately. The dining room is extremely small and bare bones and awkward. White walls and bright fluorescents make for a headache. Feels like a dentist office. They have nothing on the walls so everything echoes and it made me feel very nervous trying to eat there with my children while other people were there. It actually felt like people were quiet and tried to leave because of us unfortunately. It wouldn’t cost much to find some decorations at the dollar tree or an antique shop and make it much nicer in there and reduce the noise. There’s no music, just a tv, that’s turned down very low. The cashier was nice. We might come back? I have mixed feelings because my meal was pretty good but there were other things that left me feeling awkward. For us paying just as much as bigger restaurants it should not be so bare bones in there. It would be cool if the kids dessert was not just prepackaged cookies. They should invest in a drink machine as well. They only offer bottled drinks. I got a tea and was not a fan of the one that was offered. Kids get a capri sun. Personally I try not to load my child up with sugar. I do hope they can improve upon certain things because they could be doing much better I think! I do not want to deter people from coming here but I also want the owners to be able to improve from an honest opinion. I think people should come here, because the food is good, and hopefully if they make more money the experience will improve to feel more worth the cost. (Spent $50-60 on our meal, this is relatively similar cost to eating out at a big chain restaurant for all of us but without the comfort experience. And I think that’s part of what gets me.)

Everything about our experience here was amazing! The best Philly cheesesteaks I’ve ever had. The buffalo chicken philly is delicious as well. Everyone needs to try this place!

Great flavor, just alittle shy of meat. Not bad enough to kill it, but it could have used a little bit more. I combined everything onto one side on a large. But it tastes great.

Update:
Ok. Wow. So I ordered door dash, the didnt have a drivrr for an hour. Then a 20 min drive.
I called the store told the girl who answered was nice explained it qas sitting there waiting for the driver.
So 30min later I get the food, and it's hot and full of meat. Taste amazing!. I think they remade them but OMG. Just awesome! Food 4 to 5
