“Dined here for the first time. Husband and his brother had Scallops. I had the 50oz T-Bone, $150.00 with a great bottle of wine. Very nicely done. This dish came with three sides from the left side of the menu excluding one dish which was explained. Long story short I ordered the $150.00 T-Bone with the three sides being the Brussell sprouts, the potatoes and the oysters. Our server c ame back to say there would be and up charge of $5 for the oysters, maybe $8, now mind you this appetizer WAS included with the offer. When the bill came there was a up charge of $10 for the oysters. So, we went from a $5 upcharge to $10 upcharge. The tip was $75.00 which is not a problem but misinformation is.”

“After a HORRIBLE experience at YeeHaw brewing we found Great Oak/Southern Craft. What a life saver! The staff was friendly and charming, all the ladies seemed to work hard and FAST. We got our food so quick, which was great after a cruddy experience. I wish I could remember our waitresses name but she had long light brunette hair in a ponytail and she couldn’t have been for efficient. Our water never ran out, the beers were great and the food EVEN BETTER! I think the manager stopped by too, and she was just as kind and helpful(: The portions were large, hot and tasty! Sauces weren’t half bad! Definitely suggest the wings (our waitress suggested the fire apple and she was right on the money) and my husband loved his half chicken. We were full all the way back to West Virginia lolHighly suggest giving Great Oak Brewing/Southern Craft your business in the area!”

“We ordered the 32 bone-in wings with the 4 different flavors. The wings were so grossly over cooked and the flavors were so indistinguishable from each other that we ended up throwing them away!!! These were without a doubt the worst wings we have ever had!!! Totally unpalatable!!! The curly fries that were boxed with them were so soggy and oil laden along with being so overly seasoned...., for a company that says JUST WINGS, I can`t imagine that they could surprise anyone with greatness!! This experience was just plain awful! Hope the next customer has a better experience than what we had! Won`t be back!!!”

“Great! I had pork BBQ tray, collard greens and BBQ beans. Everything was excellent. I tried just a little of the vinegar bbq sauce base because not usually my favorite but it was very good. I used the traditional sweet southern style sauce and it was my favorite. My husband had a brisket burger and loved it! Also the smoked Mac and cheese and cornbread pudding (think that is what they called it) very very good as well. We enjoyed banana pudding for dessert! We highly recommend!!”

“I've been wanting to try Fuji for a long time and tonight I went there for my birthday and I was impressed by the courteous and polite staff which was a good sign. I had seen the menu as had my girlfriend so we both knew what we wanted so we gave the waitperson, I don't know his name but he did the little bow with folded hands after taking our order which came very quickly I might add. I had a drink called Magic Peach which was very tasty and very strong, the Spring Roll which were good sized crunchy and delicious, the Veggie Gyozyas which were fried to perfection and yummy and lastly the Avocado Roll from the Classic Menu also as good as any I've had. So all in all it was great way to spend my birthday eve, I give Fuji 5 stars! I look forward to my next visit!”

“We were in this plaza and this restaurant caught our eye. We are so glad we went in for lunch. It was amazing. Steamed bagel sandwiches. Never had them before but they were so good. They have breakfast options that are available all day. I got the Reedy Reuben on an everything bagel. My husband got the Steamenstein on an Asiago bagel (corned beef, pastrami, Swiss & spicy mustard).
We then each got a Tiger Paw for dessert (plain cream cheese on a French toast bagel with cinammon sugar).
Everything was delicious. The staff was super friendly and helpful. You order and pay at the counter and then they bring it out to your table. If you get a drink, you serve yourself at either the soda fountain, fresh coffee, or sweet or unsweetened iced tea.
We will definitely return often when in Johnson City.”

The pizza slices were really big and tasted great, a good deal for the price. Please stay in the mall, we need a good pizza joint!”

Will search them out when I get a NY pizza craving.”

“I’ve had two dishes here, Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles. The Pad Thai was good, the Drunken Noodles will have me coming back again and again! In addition to wonderful food, the employees are very attentive and helpful. I will say, I’ll take quality over quantity, but Tomy Thai has both! I can’t believe the amount of food I’ve gotten. And their mild spice truly is mild, I may try medium next time. Highly recommended!”

“We love this place! Here is my list of why: 1. They provide a safe, inclusive environment for everyone - unless you're a racist or homophobe. 2. They make as much in-house as they can. This means everything is fresh. 3. They support other local businesses. This includes buying from local farmers based on seasonality, carrying baked goods and bread from two local bakeries, and purchasing from local producers. You will see them credited on the menu. 4. They serve Counter Culture Coffee. This is ethically sourced bean, roasted in North Carolina. The roaster personally knows the farmer. 5. They have been an active part of building up the downtown community. 6. Free WiFi 7. There are some great tea choices for non-coffee drinkers. The Chai is made in-house.”

“My daughter IVORY had a party here and it was a great experience. The host Grace was wonderful and her attitude and attention was great , she helped and was on time to every task . The games were fun and the kids enjoyed the chuck E cheese show with the mouse . The music and dancing was a hit . Grace helped even with two other parties to do . She juggled it so well . I would have to say the best experience ive had in a while for hosting a party . The price was on point for 7 kids even with added bonuses . Thank you for a great evening .”

“We were there for lunch. They have a new seating system. You stand in line with a menu and order then pay then they seat you. I have bad knees. With only about 10 people there, the wait was long. Thankfully the hostess saw my distress and took us out of line and seated us early. I watched a man on a walker, a lady who had had a stroke, and many more on crutches and canes wait in the long line. I get trying to streamline your service. I get asking for pay early except that no one wanted to tip ahead of their food and I'm sure that hurt the wait staff. I don't think its a goof system. My daughter is a wait person and she thought it was horrible. We loved our food and could not have had a better waiter! I have been going to The Firehouse since they opened and I want to continue. I can't imagine how long that line would be on a Friday night. Please Mr Seaton, rethink your system to accommodate people with leg issues.”

“We had lunch at this location today. The food is delicious but I have 2 comments. The penne with white clam sauce is more like Alfredo with clams in it. Delicious but not authentic. White clam sauce should just have olive oil, garlic, clams and clam juice. I cannot recommend the eggplant parmigiana at all. It was paper thin eggplant slices with a thick oily breadcrumb layer smothered in marinara and mozzarella cheese not parmesan. It was not appealing and I couldn’t eat it. But the garlic knots were the best I’ve ever had. Freshly baked and swimming in a very nice garlic butter. The salads were fresh and the calamari was perfect. So I recommend the place just not it’s authenticity and definitely not the eggplant dish!”

Their service has always been wonderful; they even called to double-check our order for our wedding cake, ensured to bake it separately as my husband has a coconut allergy, and drive it two and a half hours to Hickory, NC. “6 adults Went for dinner, split a couple of basic pies (cheese & pepperoni). Nothing particular stood out about the food, good or bad. They do have a decent selection of beer, including local & micro brews. The service was sufficient, again nothing in particular worth noting. The location is nice. 1st floor corner spot on a high traffic corner at the heart of downtown. There is outdoor seating for people watching and a comfortable bar with TVs for game watching. For larger parties, they have seating in the atrium of the building. This provides a less intimate atmosphere, but allows for more people & more interaction with each other. Overall, if you are downtown & want pizza or are looking for a place to have a beer & people watch this is a good choice.

Parking: There is free parking all over downtown, but none attached to the building. Closest lot is across the street &1/2 block away. Limited street parking available .”

Since this happened I ordered 8 Strawberry Chipotle wings, and though they have no heat to me, they are amazingly tasty. I do wish though that you would bring back The Experience, because it was the best tasting hottest sauces you have. “I picked up a ham from here for a dinner, then had to go back the next day and get an additional one. I had so much to do at home to get ready for our dinner. After I picked up a few things at the store, I ended up at Honeybaked Ham about ten minutes before they were open. As I was sitting, this guy came up to my car and asked if I would like to come on in. My first thought was ‘Look, buddy, I’m not going to Karen these people into opening early.’ But it turned out to be the owner, who was very cordial to me, and more importantly, was cordial to his staff. So I got my delicious ham, and I got home about ten minutes earlier than I would have. And when expecting 16 people for lunch when you’ve been at work all night, every minute counted.”
