“I always, always, always enjoy the grub at White Duck Taco.If I could suggest one thing to any newcomer... try the tacos as they have crafted them on the menu..The combination of ingredients may be so strange to you, but trust the experts.. The combination of those seemingly random ingredients are about to take your taste buds on a ride that no other taco has before..“
“The taco’s were so delicious. The shrimp taco by far is the best. Everything was well seasoned and plentiful. The beans were dry and gummy- didn’t like them. Staff is very friendly and service is excellent. Parking was a little difficult but great location if you are downtown.“
“This place has good food, a good atmosphere, and doesn't cost too much. It's definitely a great place to go locally. They have outdoor seating in the spring and fall along with entertainment on some evenings. The tacos are great too, especially with beef and sausage are my favorites. They also have several good beers on tap. Go check them out.“
“In Johnson City this past weekend, Moe’s has closed permanently, not surprising as it had been going downhill for quite a while, and I couldn’t face the usual boring food from Amigos or the other cookie cutter Mexican run restaurants . . . so I took a chance on Holy Taco. I was pleasantly surprised . . . the chips and red salsa were excellent, I got a taco with tofu, onions and cilantro on a soft corn tortilla . . . it was very good, although it was small, proportions could be bigger. Service was excellent . . . I’ll be back.“
“The food and drinks at Watauga are good, there is plenty of space, and the rooftop is a nice place to chill. Each of the three floors has something to offer. The first floor is primarily a brewery but also offers select wine and cocktails, and also a food menu. The first floor also has shuffle board and live music on select evenings. The second floor is primarily a restaurant but also has beer, wine, and cocktails. The rooftop appears to specialize in cocktails but also has a full beer menu. The service can be a little suspect depending on when and which floor you visit, but I've never had a problem on the rooftop. I recommend visiting the rooftop and trying some of their cocktails and beers, then visiting one of the lower levels to sample the food menu.“
“So hear me out…I have been wanting to try Calaveras for a while now. I went Thursday and they closed at 7:30 due to being sold out of everything (that should tell you something). So I said I’ll go Friday. Went Friday around 6:30 for the Esquite (Mexican street corn) and the Clasico (Three QuesaBirrias with an order of Consome-Birria Broth). They were sold out of both. My heart broke again. Learned the secret to calling ahead to order and finally got my hands on both today. I had to stop in the parking lot on the way out and try both. It was the most delicious Mexican cuisine I’ve had around here or in my life really! I was so busy eating I dipped my new dress sleeve in the broth without knowing because I was too busy eating. ? Please support this family ran business and try everything to your hearts desire. The portions are more than enough and the family is SO nice. I will definitely be back. Thank you for serving JC!!!! You guys did that! ? ? “
