Everything I’ve tried here is absolutely delicious and the service is wonderful as well (I ordered take out tonight and they brought my order out before I could even call to let them know I was there!). “First time eating at the cafe. We were surprised at the crowd. Not too many but enough to let you know it’s good. My wife and I really enjoyed our lunch. Excellent food, excellent service. Room is a bit noisy and some attention could be paid to noise abatement but the overall experience was wonderful. A defiant must try.“

“One of the first things I noticed was portions are a sensible size. The food is so good, it would seem a shame to eat it too quickly. The coffee was really good, the servers were friendly, respectful, and seemed to CARE about their food interactions with customers. These are the most important things to me. The coffee was excellent too, which is rare, you usually get one or the other. Highly recommend.“
“We always enjoy Cootie Brown’s campus location. Fantastic servers and great food. Great for small or large party of guests. We also love that they use the text notifications so you can wait in your car on the chilly days. Everything I’ve had here is good. But my favorite go-to meal is their Key Lime Chicken, which I get with the honey roasted sweet potatoes and roasted artichoke sautéed spinach. They have a huge menu and lots to choose from for everyone’s different tastes. Highly recommend.“
“Food was good, it felt very pricey. It wasn't quite my atmosphere to enjoy a family dinner, but everyone else that was there appeared to be having a great time. The band was great. We only heard the "sound check" song, but it was very good.“
“Smokey Bones is one of my favorite restaurants in Johnson City, I’ve been going for years. Service is always great and we were quickly sat on a friday evening, even as a larger group. Taylor was a wonderful server, she was very funny and friendly. The memphis dry rub wings have always been my go-to and they have never let me down. 10/10 experience as always.“
“Historic venue. Quaint and very rustic. (Bring a seat cushion ?). Four of us went Friday evening for songwriter showcase featuring Ron Short and Friends. Ron is great! Various artists on different nights so check their FB page for schedule. Down Home serves a small hors d'oeuvre type menu and beverages if you want. If you have never been there, you owe it yourself to go.“
“Seat yourself, be prepared to freeze while you eat. Wait staff was young and attentive, would like to see them in a uniform of sorts not shorts and yoga pants. My dad voted a 4 for tastiness and flavor, coffee was hot fresh, he would go back and says way better then the chain CB down the road. Hubby says he likes it and scored it a four. My mom rates is as a 4. Now let’s get down to business, I thought the brown gravy was slightly pasty and the pancakes were missing something.The hash-browns were cooked with perfection and for sure if I go back I’ll just ask for them to make me a potato bowl. I was however surprised as we walked out to peep inside the fridge and the amount of condiment bottle blew me away. That’s one thing that scares me personally how does one keep track of when they opened it if there were no labels with dates.The mamaw in back with a kitchen towel around her neck made me feel right at home, however each person keeps house differently, keep that in mind before you judge.You will need to ask for a knife they don’t give those out, must have something to do with the location.“
“Absolutely amazing food!! I am gluten free and I recently ate at an Aubrey's. I had the gluten free rooster grill and it was the best sandwich I have ever had, even compared with sandwiches I had when I was not gluten free. Most gluten free bread ranges from kinda disgusting to tolerable but the bun here was amazing. It tastes like real bread and I had to check and make sure that I got the gluten free option. I will definitely eat here again and recommend it to all my gluten free friends.Dietary restrictions: There is a decent amount of gluten free options. You can also get most things dairy free if you take off the cheese. The staff are very accommodating and knowledgeable, so if you have other dietary restrictions you should definitely ask them.“

We are very happy to visit every time we're in Johnson City.The food is great, with generous portion sizes and very tasty meat.Our server was very kind and the owners are really friendly. “Had dinner here the other night. The Outlaw Ribeye is scrumptious. Both the hubs and I ordered it with just some minor changes (meat temp and sides). This steak is good for dinner tonight and tomorrow. By the time you eat a salad, half of a potato and half a steak, you are not feeling deprived.We got on the wait-list before we left home. We drove from the next town over, so timing was good. It's worth the drive and the money.“

We really enjoyed the salmon curry dish, but noted that the plating was a bit disproportionate and lacked some green veggie for color. We ended up ordering two of that dish because the tofu dish (pictured) was too salty and we had to send back. Nice wine selection and we loved our server!“

“Honestly a great Waffle House location. Been here twice within a couple of weeks because my Fiance and I have a habit of having breakfast/brunch out on our days off together. Had the idea to do Waffle House since it had been a long time for either of us, and it hit the spot! So much so that we came back again the following week. It's simple food but always good. Employees have been nice each time so far. I'm sure we'll be back again soon!“

“Good food. I love their double blueberry pancakes! I didn't love the slice of ham I got with it, It had too much fat in it, but that is purely personal preference. Our server was attentive and friendly. I don't really feel one way or the other about the atmosphere.“

“We had a delightful lunch at Chili's in Johnson City, TN. We were there on a Sunday after church, which is a busy time. However, there were only two of us and we were seated immediately. We placed our order and received our drinks and our food within 10 minutes. Our order consisted of sodas, chips and salsa (we did an upgrade and had three different dips with the chips), and the old timer burger with fries. We shared all of our order and we had plenty of food. Our server was outstanding and kept check on us. We can't wait to go back.“

“Had lunch here yesterday March 19 I had the chicken tenders, they were really great, the croissants were amazing. My girlfriend had the Monte crisco she said it was the best she's had in a long time. Sweet tea was good our waitress Kaylee did a great job, kept our drinks filled kept checking on us and offered desert she was very nice and friendly, made the lunch even better. Will be back“
“First of all, be informed that they do not serve alcohol. Parking was easy. The staff was friendly and helpful; 5 star service. A full rack of ribs was thoroughly enjoyed along with some sweet tea. Carolina Pulled Pork sandwich was very good too. The iconic firetruck in the lobby was really cool and it's my understanding is still used for parades, etc. I don't think they take reservations so you may have to wait a bit. Price point was super good too!“
“The food and drinks at Watauga are good, there is plenty of space, and the rooftop is a nice place to chill. Each of the three floors has something to offer. The first floor is primarily a brewery but also offers select wine and cocktails, and also a food menu. The first floor also has shuffle board and live music on select evenings. The second floor is primarily a restaurant but also has beer, wine, and cocktails. The rooftop appears to specialize in cocktails but also has a full beer menu. The service can be a little suspect depending on when and which floor you visit, but I've never had a problem on the rooftop. I recommend visiting the rooftop and trying some of their cocktails and beers, then visiting one of the lower levels to sample the food menu.“

“Three of us ate here. We were greeted immediately, and the manager and staff were all very friendly. Two of us ordered Colorado omelets with pancakes, and one ordered the chicken fried steak (which was huge) and eggs. The food arrived quickly, was the right temperature, and tasted really good. The staff worked very well together, with various people checking on us, delivering food, and making sure our drinks were filled. The restaurant was busy, but we never felt like we were left wanting for anything. One of our group ordered the Blueberry Pancakes, and we were impressed to see that they actually liked like the picture on the menu. We all enjoyed our food and would be happy to eat here again.“
