“My husband, an avid fan of our local IHOP, didn't understand why I was insisting to locate & try Perkins on our road trip. We landed in our seats at 2:30, it took us at least 5 minutes to decide what we wanted to order, my husband craving a smoke asked if he would have time to smoke. Our fantastic hostess assured him he would have time, note we were seated as close as possible to the door. He walked out the door & I glanced at the dessert menu then in a blink, our hot food was on the table before my husband could return! It was 2:40! He was so delighted with how delicious his meal was that I got to say "I TOLD YOU IT WOULD BE WORTH IT" & he definitely agreed. I couldn't believe that I could actually order my BLT on SOURDOUGH bread! The Tomato Basil soup was the best that I've ever tasted! I can't remember the name but I searched out the lowest cal dessert, strawberry cream cheese something & it was mouthwatering. He had the Chicken Fried Steak & said it was the most tender he has ever had & he has ordered it from multiple eateries. Served exactly as he had asked. he had ordered a side of gravy because never before had he gotten enough gravy served on his plate. We had to take the side to go because his plate was perfect! We were both so full that we had to take dessert to go. I can't believe MY HUSBAND actually finished his entire banana nut muffin! Sweets are not his thing so I was expecting at least a bite offered to me. I took a 1/2 dozen pumpkin Muffins to family that had kept out dog & they reported them to also be fantastic. My only complaint was that they are so far from my home! I will be searching for an excuse to get back there a soon as possible!“

“We ordered from here while passing through on our way to Tennessee. The bartender/takeout host was extremely friendly. She filled up my son‘s water bottles, and did it with a smile on her face. The portion sizes were huge, and the food was delicious. It came with the most delicious croissants!“

“We went to the store at Exit 63 in Kingsport, near Tri-Cities Airport. We were seated right away, but waited 20 or so minutes with out any service. The tables beside us were quickly waited on. They didn't have many tables seated, so not very busy. We got up and left and drove to Exit 7. We were seated right away, the server (Anna) was there in just a couple of minutes to take our order. The kitchen was slow to get our food out for not being very busy. It was all good, hot and tasty. We typically wouldn't drive to Exit 7 but would return if we are in the area, but we are probably done with Exit 63 location.“

“Saturday, June 20, My son and I went for his birthday celebration. We understood completely with no reservation that we waited an hour and a half… Which we did happily, they had great entertainment in the bar.. Although when we did get seated, I would assume there just weren’t enough servers. Many tables were empty, but we waited two hours for our dinner….. No reason given just very apologetic and comped and appetizer and offered to comp a dessert, but after sitting there that long we were ready to go… I don’t know if they’re celebrity chef that had walk-through we seen made the problem.. But we were very disappointed.. I’ve had several over-the-top experiences there. We definitely will go back. I just needed to get this off my chest… Thank you for your attention“

“Michael was our server. He paid close attention to detail, and made sure every need was met. Whether requested or not. Hands down best service. Smiling the whole time. Such a delightful experience. Frequent flyer miles. Did let us know that there would be a new menu coming out. Told us about the ribs and a few items that will be changing. Always excited to know about upcoming things at one of our favorite places. Dave that cleans the tables is one of the most detail oriented people when it comes to cleanliness for people. He really is a true asset to the team. Actually most people we know. Jasmine, Jerry, Tyler, and Michael are the best we truly apologize if I left someone out. We love the crew.“

“I got the lemon pepper salmon and it was probably the best salmon I’ve ever had in a while. The coleslaw wasn’t that good and the broccoli was too hard for my liking but other than that it was great. The women’s bathroom is clean and the service was awesome we had 10 people and the guy who took our order got everything perfect“

“Went to watch my spurs lose tonight. I hardly ever go out and do anything. The waiters and bartenders are chill like everybody else. Just relax. Never heard of anybody starving to death waiting ten minutes on food.its not fast food. Anyway, I'll be back every Saturday. Don't like my reviews let me know. I back this place.“
