“This place is a gem. Service was impeccable, the food delicious, the atmosphere cozy. The owner grows his own vegetables on site at the greenhouses on the property which is a nice touch. One of the greenhouses is reserved for outdoor seating. It was so warm and cozy in the greenhouse and made the dining experience even more fun. We ordered the Cuban sandwich and the pulled pork sandwich which were both delicious. Mac and cheese was also to die for. ? 10/10 experience and we will be coming back next time we travel through!“
“I would highly recommend the fried chicken the fried catfish the fries and the mac and cheese however I would not recommend the baked mac and cheese as it is super sweet and under seasoned I wouldn't recommend the cornbread it's really sweet and very dry and the banana pudding as it's more vanilla pudding with banana and wafers I would recommend the BBQ baked beans super tasty I would recommend the green beans really tasty with a bacon flavor I would recommend the sweet tea I will say it's not quite sweet enough but almost perfect. As for the service I didn't get the waitresses name but she was very friendly very patient and all around great. The building was very clean very nice the seats were a little tight but very comfortable and if you like sports this place is perfect for you I would easily say this is the best soulfood in Bristol“
“I was at Taste for a work event at this beautiful venue. As whole-foods plant-based eaters, the chef prepared a special menu for us and it was delicious. Even the meat-eaters at our table agreed the vegan food was amazing. For dessert we had vegan carrot cake and it easily was one of the best things I have ever eaten. It was so good, that I asked for the recipe and was happily obliged. The chef told us he always tries to have at least one vegan option on his menu, so we will definitely be back to the wonderful Taste, Wood-Fired Kitchen.“

“Food is fantastic. We had the 5 meat platter. Brisket, pulled pork, chicken, sausage, and ribs. Their house BBQ sauce is amazing. Fried corn with Parmesan cheese is delicious. Seasoned french fries are unique cut and crispy. Very reasonable “
“Stopped in after a long day on the river . Some of the best ribs I have had and good portion. I got the Mac and Cheese and jalapeno poppers.The poppers were great , the Mac and cheese was sort of disappointing sort of bland .Owner I assume and helpers were super cool , they love what they do and keep a smile on your face with their personalities.Will definitely come back when we come back down .“
“Just by chance we decided to go Janie's Place and we are glad we did. The owner Janie is a fireball. The food is very good. Try the beef brisket, as well as the country fried steak. The fried green tomatoes are also very good. Prices are more than reasonable.“
“Bristol BBQ has its nickname, The Cup BBQ place. Rightfully so, this location was a coffee place long long ago, then a gold selling place, then Bristol BBQ. There food is to die for. It's fresh every day and the service is amazing. Portions are good for the price you pay. I always get loaded tots and OMG they are amazing. The do come with jalapeños so watch out but I love them I'm happy. 10/10 will continue to support this place and eat there any time I can.“
“Amazing spot for food and drink! We we're passing through and after a long drive, needed some refreshment. Was happy to find an amazing selection of craft beers including a Gose and a local Kolsch. I decided to get the Philly cheesesteak up on our server Devon's suggestion, who was amazing and always on top of things. Definitely suggest the Maytag blue cheese spiral cut homemade chips as an appetizer. The orange cream cake was also a great dessert! Will definitely be back.“
“If you haven’t visited this location for breakfast, you are missing out! Such reasonable prices and Leslie works breakfast and she is the BEST! We so enjoy coming here, but not sure many people know about the breakfast! We have been here several times for dinner too, phenomenal!“
